So-called Da Vinci Globe[edit]

Hello, Headbomb! I know nothing of the background, but I notice that the file has Da Vinci’s author template. Is that part of the fringeyness too, as I suspect, or is it perhaps just the name? If the former, it should be replaced with {{Anonymous}} or something. Since one would expect an image called “Globe” to be, well, globular, I think I’ll append map to signal its “unfolded” state.—Odysseus1479 (talk) 02:45, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Odysseus1479: The name is the main issue. The egg really exist, but only a fringe author calls is the Da Vinci Globe. Headbomb (talk) 02:51, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed we have another version at File:Da Vinci Globe.png. I suppose that should be moved too?—Odysseus1479 (talk) 02:55, 7 November 2021 (UTC) P.S. I see a previous request was declined on that one. I guess that would call for discussion on the file’s talk page; I don’t want to get into anything resembling an edit war (any further than I may have stuck my neck out already)..—Odysseus1479 (talk) 03:13, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Odysseus1479: All files in Category:Ostrich Egg Globe should take the non-fringe name. The refusal by that person to update the name is pure bureaucratic silliness because they felt it didn't meet the speedy criteria, but there's no other workflow for renames on common that I'm aware of.
