Prince Louis

I agree to change licence because it's from Instagram (I'm not sure which one it is) and I am sorry but the photo of Prince Louis comes from an official account (@kensingtonroyal) so it gives the right to anyone to use and more, the account you gave me repost it so it doesn't own it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Schweiz41 (talk • contribs) 11:39, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

• @Schweiz41: Official account does not automatically mean freely licensed. Posters on Instagram retain copyright over what they post. The Kensington Palace page shows no evidence of permission. Works by the U.K. government and releases from the royal family are generally copyrighted. As a rule, copyright is in force unless it is explicitly waived. I see you have been warned several times about copyright infringement. Please take the hint. Unless you took the photo yourself or can show proof of a free license, please don't upload it to Commons. Hey Gene93K I Saw your notice on my talk page.

I notice this picture File:Joachim Henry.jpg has been used freely on Facebook and in media, articles as well as the others I uploaded can't it still be used. I can request permission from the Political Party itself.--Akim Ernest (talk) 20:36, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

• @Akim Ernest: Long story short, the creator retains copyright unless they explicitly grant a free license. Otherwise, Wikipedia use requires proof of permission emailed to OTRS.
