SVG images[edit]

As you've noticed, I've updated some SVG flags of countries. For some reason Adobe Illustrator seems to create much larger files than the originals even if the only thing modified was the colours. Is there some way to keep the file size as small as possible in Illustrator or do I need another way of modifying the flags? You seem to have some experience with SVG's, so I'm asking directly. –Vzb83 09:15, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gabbe, please do not list these in deletion requests. These are standard redundant images and should be treated as such. This one: Image:Asiatic.lioness.bristol.arp.jpg, at least, is in use in many wikipedias. The tag {{Redundant}} will be sufficient. Swedish translations needed[edit]

Hi! I contact you as you speak English and Swedish.

Jastrow and I are working on autotranslating {{Meta information museum}}, the meta-template we use for many museums, like {{Information Louvre}}. Could you please help us find Swedish translations for every tag name: 

   * artist/maker
   * description
   * dimensions
   * credit line
   * accession number
   * location
   * source/photographer
   * references
   * other versions

"Credit line" is mainly about the mode of acquisition: what collection does it come from? Did it join the collections by gift, purchase, on loan, etc.?

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Karte zu den LDC[edit]

Hallo, da du auf deinem Profil angibst, Deutsch zu verstehen, versuche ich es einfach mal in dieser Sprache, gerne trage ich dir mein Anliegen aber auch auf Deutsch vor. Ich habe gesehen, dass du erst vor kurzem die Karte zu den Least Developed Countries bearbeitet hast (Siehe hier). Daher habe ich mich gefragt, ob du Samoa und die Malediven, die mittlerweile nicht mehr dazu gezählt werden (Quelle), aus der Karte entfernen könntest? Greenland and Puerto Rico[edit]

Regarding this: File:Electoral democracies.svg. Greenland and Puerto Rico were forgotten. The former is part of Denmark and the latter is part of USA, which both are electoral democracies according to the Freedom in the World 2016 report. It is the same as Scotland (part of UK), French Guiana (part of France), etc, which already are correctly marked on the map. Regards, 80.62.117.170 06:18, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Map of judicial corporal punishment[edit]
