File:David.gif deletion request[edit]

Hey, I noticed you closed my DR Commons:Deletion requests/File:David.gif as keep because the image was used, but it doesn't appear to me that it's in use. The only usages I see are OgreBot's new user uploads list, and someone's talk page on Norwegian Wikipedia. The talk page usage is just a notification to someone that their image is up for deletion, and it's from way back in 2008 (7 years before this image was uploaded). It seems most likely that that usage is from a different file named "David.gif" that was uploaded (and deleted) on Norwegian Wikipedia ten years ago, and has nothing to do with the image uploaded to Commons in 2015. To evaluate the copyright status of this scan we would need the full bibliographic record of the book. The book illustrator Thomas Heath Robinson died in 1954. Hence, we need to know the source country where this illustration was published first. This illustration would be still copyrighted if it was first published in the United Kingdom. One edition was published in c. 1920 by Collins' Clear Type Press with illustrations by T. H. Robinson (see [1]). Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 21:27, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
