category

I assume the image is of a Buddhist Temple. There is a category for Buddhist temples. To add the category to your image simply put Category:Buddhist temples in the image description.There might be a category for the particular Temple, at your image too. There probably is category for Thailand too. If it is the case, you could add one more line Category:Thailand. I hope this helps. Please let me know, if you need more help. Your edits

lighting image

You might want to downsample your lighting image a bit. It might have a better chances to pass. Make it like 2.5 megapixels maybe.--Mbz1 13:42, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

• Just make the size smaller. In a photoshop hit resize image and change the size. Right now your image is 4,272 × 2,848. Change 4272 to 2200 and it should be fine.--Mbz1 14:16, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
