Les premiers pas

Le tutoriel des premiers pas et la FAQ peuvent énormément vous aider. Ils expliquent comment personnaliser votre interface (pour la langue par exemple), comment importer des fichiers, sans oublier les licences. Des compétences techniques ne sont pas indispensables. Soyez clairs et présumez des bonnes intentions des autres. C'est un wiki - rien de très compliqué.

Plus d'informations sont disponibles sur le portail communautaire. Vous pouvez posez des questions sur le Service SVP, le Bistro, ou encore sur IRC, au canal #wikimedia-commons. Vous pouvez également contacter un administrateur sur sa page de discussion.

Outils et astuces
  • Indiquez le modèle Babel sur votre page personnelle, ainsi les autres utilisateurs savent quelles langues vous parlez.
  • Toutes vos importations de fichiers se retrouvent ici.
  • Signez vos messages sur les discussions en tapant ~~~~
  • Utilisez l' outil prévu pour trouver les bonnes catégories pour vos fichiers.
  • Pour créer un lien vers un fichier, tapez : [[:Image:Foo.jpg]], cela donne : Image:Foo.jpg
  • Si vous importez des fichiers d'un autre projet, utilisez l' outil prévu pour.
Vous avez fait une erreur ?
  • Voulez-vous renommer un fichier ? Importez simplement l'autre fichier et écrivez sur l'ancien : {{bad name|LE NOUVEAU NOM CORRECT}}

Moteur de recherche[edit]

Salut, pour répondre à ta question sur le Bistro :
le moteur de recherche utilise une base de données pour indexer les images, mais cette base de données n'est pas mise à jour en temps réel. Il peut donc s'écouler un certain délai (voire un délai certain) entre le moment où tu as déposé une image sur le serveur et le moment où le moteur de recherche est capable de la montrer quand on lui donne les bons mots-clés...

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
