Plays / books[edit]

Hi! I think "plays" should be over "books" in the categorization hierarchy. A "printed play" (or a book) is a manifestation/edition of the play (the first performance of the play usually predates the book).

Proper categorisation would be, IMHO, categorising Category:Terra baixa under Category:Catalan plays and Category:Àngel Guimerà and leave the "book categories" for the printed versions/editions of this play. I may say "category:plays" is categorised under "category:books", though. :S What do you think? strakhov (talk) 16:59, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

..I somehow agree with you with books being "format-related stuff" and plays.. "genre-related-...". But, after all, books are "OK enough" for me here as 'subcategories' of works and even as a synonym of "written work". In Wikipedia I tend to avoid "book categorisation" (in fact I'd delete the entire "Categoría:Libros de") and prefer using terminology such as "literary works", "works", "paintings", "novels", "poems", etc. But in Commons, we deal more frequently with 'physical manifestations of works' (and specific editions) and introducing books, book covers, books published in (...) terminology in the category "tree" is more needed. Segons el DIEC:
  • Mural: Ceràmica o pintura realitzades sobre un mur.
  • Grafit: Inscripció o dibuix fet en una paret, un monument, etc.

En el fons, la diferència rau en la intenció de l'autor suposo. Com tu ben dius, tots els murals són grafits (això ho veig jo). Ara bé, un tag mai podrà ser un mural.
