Formica rufa[edit]

I am writing regarding the picture you have placed in Commons - http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Mrowka_rudnica_formica_rufa_small.jpg . We, with our friends from the Otryt Association (connected with the Bieszczady mountains), have decided to trace and mark the first in the Ukrainian Bieszczady didactic route (historical-natural scientific). We have been preparing it with the Ukrainians from Old Sambor, in which neighborhood the route is going to be placed. The route consists of ten boards, some of which are devoted to fauna and flora of the Bieszczady. We would like to use your graphics mentioned above on one of the boards. Taking into consideration the limited space on the board (on which there are going to be other graphics and descriptions of the fauna/flora) we are not able to place the GNU or Creative Commons license text there. Would you therefore agree to place this graphic on the board giving your authorship (you full name, nickname or any other form)?

And I have some request - is it possible sending me this photo in higher resolution (900x900 or 1200x1200)?

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Biodiversity Photo - Bombus terrestris[edit]

My name is Rita Neves.

I work in Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, that is a Public Organism in Portugal.

Actually, we are working on a road book of Biodiversity of Lisbon, for which we are going to produce a panel and a brochure. We found your photos on Wikimedia Commons and liked specially one of them very much, so we would like to know if you could allow us to use your photos, for free, to publish on this project, knowing that the brochure of will be for free distribution to everyone.

The photo we would like to use are the following:

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools.
