Congressional maps[edit]

could you do a precinct map for these elections? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Florida%27s_13th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Florida%27s_19th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Georgia%27s_5th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Florida%27s_20th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_Ohio%27s_11th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_California%27s_25th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Maryland%27s_7th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Michigan%27s_13th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Pennsylvania%27s_18th_congressional_district_special_election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_New_York%27s_9th_congressional_district_special_election It would be nice to have a little more information since they're only a few counties or no maps at all lol Also can you get them to align exactly with the county maps so they look cleaner with the map switcher? Putitonamap98 (talk) 02:11, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I could try if they have good precinct IDS. I hate making Unique IDS.
I'm really focused on Southern elections but will do some in other areas DixiePolitics (talk) 02:59, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

Could you please add relevant categories to every map you upload?

Ex. for File:2008 Alabama Senate by congressional district.svg you only added the "Alabama" category. Instead you could add Category:United States Senate election maps of Alabama and Category:United States Senate election in Alabama, 2008.

This helps put maps in relevant places and makes them much easier to find. If you could go back and properly categorize all of your maps that would be really appreciated. thanks! Kingofthedead (talk) 21:55, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

hi where exactly do you get your information for precinct data maps? i have looked everywhere could never find pre 2008 data 104.160.97.110 02:33, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You can try contacting state election boards for data
I have received 2000 precinct data from American University but the precinct names usually need to be edited by hand to avoid mismatches DixiePolitics (talk) 03:48, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What were the result breakdowns for MS's congressional districts in the 2008 Senate race?[edit]

Hello,

I notice that you uploaded this map: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2008_Mississippi_Senate_(Regular)_by_congressional_district.svg. Do you know what the exact results were for the districts on this map, in that race? If you did, I would appreciate it. Thank you. Calthrina950 (talk) 18:47, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't remember the exact breakdown since another account gave me the data.I deleted the files a long time ago DixiePolitics (talk) 23:27, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DixiePolitics,

I came across your precinct map for the 2000 election and I gotta say, you did a fantastic job. Out of curiosity, do you have the data to produce such a map for the 1998 Texas gubernatorial election, and have you done any other states? Truckonout (talk) 05:32, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:KY-16-senate-districts.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
