Panorama software[edit]

Hi Digon3, After I had tried some programs (including Hugin) one after the other and the results were not really fully satisfying, I got Panorama Studio into the hands. Its an easy to use tool but with powerful features. --Simonizer 07:26, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jonathan, your gallery led me to my last phographic trip so I'd like to have your opinion about my work in some places you know well: Arizona and Utah. --LucaG 20:21, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A new version is available[edit]

Dear Digon3, Iam very disapointed about the polling-progress on this Image. So i uploaded a new improved version and would ask if you can drop an eye on it, that would be very kind. Regards Richie --Richard Bartz 20:35, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commons problems[edit]

Hello, Jon. I wonder, if you aware about problems with the images uploaded to Commons. For example, I uploaded quite a few images for the last 3 days and none is showing up in my gallery. Have you tried to upload any image to Commonos lately? Maybe you could tell me whom I could contact about this problems? Thank you.--Mbz1 22:22, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Mbz1[reply]

Thank you for the response. The thing is that the lag is getting bigger and bigger. It was 3 days yesterday. Before it happened I was able to see all my images right away. As soon as I uploaded one it was shown in my gallery, but anyway, hopefully I would be able to see them soon. Thanks again for your time.--Mbz1 23:36, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Mbz1[reply]

decompose[edit]

I am not sure what your software calls this, but it seemed easier to mask both of your images with one of what my software calls a Red, Green or Blue decomposition -- a grayscale representation of the that color or other imagie concept (I have also the option for Hue, Saturation, Value, Luminosity gray scale reps as well). I think that I still had to manually block out the shadow. I could upload the masking layer if you are interested. Shadows (to me) are more fun to make manually and today, I attempted to put a shadow in the image that would have been from the flash -- but to make a good one would be to make a shadow that the object itself blocked out, so I didn't.

I did not mean any offense and I was surprised that it took you so long to revert the changes.

I have been much worse to other photographers here -- like one of them, I picked an image that did not have anyones name in the filename, pretended that what was in the filename was instructions and sent one of the bots here after it. That image never got reverted either.

I have no idea what to think about all of this. -- carol 15:44, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting images[edit]

I just learned that if I revert your crystal image, it will appear as the image you uploaded but it will go into my gallery. I have a lot of images in my 'gallery' that I did not upload (I have been moving images from English Wikipedia without the help of a bot) -- but if that image is going to be in my gallery, if I had moved it from English Wikipedia, I would have made the same changes that I made to it for the QI collection.

I had an image nominated for QI and I opposed it. The reason that I opposed it is because it looked like there was an opposition party and all you had to do to attend the party was to oppose any image that I had touched -- I wanted to be a part of this party. Especially if the requirements were so easy (talent to attend so low). It was an "I can play this game too!!" vote and I would make that vote again. -- carol 11:15, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A picture question[edit]

Hi, Digon3.
May I please ask you a question? It is probably a stupid question because I have this pine cone in my hands and I cannot say for sure what it is, but, if you have a time could you please take a look at the images and tell me what do you think. I found this cone at a beach. It seems to be a fossil and it is heavier than pine cones usually are, yet it seems not to be heavy enoug to be a fossil. The thing that attaches the cones to the trees (I do not know how to name it in English) is for sure still a wood and not a rock. You could see a close-up of it at the image. I'm asking you this question because I know you like fossils. Thank you for your time.--Mbz1 20:14, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

French captions[edit]

Hi,
you are adding French captions to your picture and that is really, really excellent.
A fiew remarks though, to help you:
If you see Florida on a map, you'll say "Voici'la floride", but if you present a city of Florida, you'll say "Jackson, Floride", or, "Jackson est en Floride". St. in English can be short for "street" or for "saint". In French, street is "rue", and Saint is "Saint" or "Sainte". So St John River is "Le fleuve Saint John" and not "la rivière de rue john" (the creek of john street).
More important: NEVER stop adding multilingual captions because a frog whines at you, wine is the only thing we know about :-)) Hope it helps...--Berru 21:44, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

deprecated function in your monobook.js[edit]

Dear user, I noticed that you use the includePage function in your monobook.js page.

This function is now obsolete, as the importScript function was introduced with rev:35064 to the MediaWiki Javascript core library wikibits.js. It also keeps track of already imported files.

To allow us to remove includePage from Mediawiki:Common.js I'd kindly ask you to replace its use with importScript (same syntax!). Thanks! --Dschwen 17:03, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
