/Daniel78 (talk) 15:08, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Jag har lagt till en fix, dock inte testad ännu. /Daniel78 (talk) 21:02, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

FPCBot problem

Hallo Daniel, that doesn't look good... Please fix your bot. --kaʁstn Disk/Cat 09:41, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi Daniel, also this seems to be a bit strange after FPCBot tried to make it a FP. Maybe related, maybe not... --Leuo (talk) 12:58, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for reporting, I think it should be ok now. /Daniel78 (talk) 18:26, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

FPCBot approved

I just closed the prolonged Commons:Bots/Requests/FPCBot and approved the bot flag. Welcome.--Jusjih (talk) 03:25, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

FPCBot problem

Hi, Daniel!
Promoted nomination not removed from list (not processed) several times. Please check/fix it.
With best regards, --George Chernilevsky talk 05:53, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Hm, I can see in the log that the bot is trying to process them but fails with the message ": "Page is locked". Not sure why this happens at the moment, I could manually make changes to the pages. Can pages be locked for bots ? This is about File:Wasserkuppe im Winter.jpg and File:Belle_of_Nelson_Whiskey_poster.jpg. /Daniel78 (talk) 08:40, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
Providing more information in the log message shows that it's the user pages that denies the edit. For example by use of the {{Nobots}} template. This has not happened before as this bot just got its bot flag and was not earlier treated as a bot. But I get two different messages and I am not yet sure about the second: "Page is locked on commons:commons - cannot edit, and no sysop account is defined.". /Daniel78 (talk) 23:37, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
I am not sure why that second page is locked, but for now I will just ignore all locked edits of user pages, those edits are not vital to the process anyway. /Daniel78 (talk) 23:51, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

FPCbot: Speedy close unusual case: error

This [1] FPCbot close was in error because of an unusual vote by the nominator (who abstained rather than supported). The nomination subsequently got a supporting vote from Simonizer, which according to the rules means it should stay open for the full 10 days. --99of9 (talk) 01:05, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi, the bot unfortunately have no concept about who made each vote so it will only check if there are only 1 or less support votes at day 5. It would be possible to fix but it's a bit tricky to parse for user signatures as they can look so different. And it's not a quick fix that I can do right now so I have left the candidate as is. If you want to prevent it from being closed you can revert the review that was done by George and leave the unreviewed template for manual correction at day 9. /Daniel78 (talk) 08:41, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
Ok i fix it now --George Chernilevsky talk 10:45, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
I meant keep the template but do not review it until 9 days has passed and manually fill in the final result, otherwise the bot will just keep adding it again and again. /Daniel78 (talk) 16:54, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

FPCbot and Strong support template

Hi, Daniel!
Look this, please:Commons:Featured_picture_candidates/File:Snowboarder_in_flight_(Tannheim,_Austria).jpg
FPCbot not processed vote  Strong support ?
With best regards, --George Chernilevsky talk 18:19, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi, the bot did know about the {{Strong support}} template, but not the {{SSupport}} template that was used here. I have now added it. Thanks for reporting. /Daniel78 (talk) 19:38, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

FPCbot problem

Hello Daniel, this candidate Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Meat seller in Kabul.jpg has two negative votes that are based on the fact that the voters didn't think the picture was pleasant enough. Do these votes count? If they don't the picture will be featured --Paulrudd (talk) 08:46, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi, this does not really concern the bot. There is always a human that confirms the final result, in this case it seems that has already been made. Concerns about votes should be brought up at the nomination itself or at Commons_talk:Featured_picture_candidates. /Daniel78 (talk) 18:22, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi Daniel!
This nomination Commons:Featured_picture_candidates/File:A_nurse_vaccinates_Barack_Obama_against_H1N1.jpg not removed few times. Blocked? With best regards, --George Chernilevsky talk 08:30, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

I think the problem is related to the file name change mid-nomination. The bot also didn't count the actual votes, but the votes on the page with the original name. --99of9 (talk) 09:22, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Yes the problem was that it looked for the new page name among the candidates, but as that listed the old page name which is a redirect the bot could not find it. I just used the correct name there too such that the bot found it. /Daniel78 (talk) 10:45, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi Daniel!
This nomination Commons:Featured_picture_candidates/Set_nomination:_Rotary_snowplow_in_action not removed from FPC. With best regards, --George Chernilevsky talk 09:26, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

I fix it now --George Chernilevsky talk 08:14, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi Daniel!
This nomination Commons:Featured_picture_candidates/File:Faro_du_Portzic_a_Brest.JPG discussed with this  Oppose = {{o}} voting template. Please add it to bot. With best regards, --George Chernilevsky talk 20:10, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

FPCBot; Adjustment Needed

Hi,

In recent times, I have noticed that at the featured picture candidates page, users have been opposing images by using this template: {{o}}. As a result, FPCBot does not count these opposes (for example, see here). This should probably be amended. Thanks, ~Kevin Payravi (Talk) 03:04, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Ah, I didn't see that before. Anyway, thanks. ~Kevin Payravi (Talk) 20:44, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

FPCbot messes with links

Hi Daniel,

The bot has some problems when the nomination page is different from the file name, the links becomes messed up after the results are confirmed, I had to fix them manually in the pages edited by the bot. I am not sure how to fix this problem, probably by adding a parameter the file nomination template when the filename is different from the nomination page? --Banzoo (talk) 21:39, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for mentioning this. I have unfortunately not so much time to look at it at the moment. I created an issue at the git repository as reminder when I get some time: http://github.com/Zitrax/FPCBot/issues/issue/1 /Daniel78 (talk) 14:01, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

FPCbot run need

FPCbot sleep loo long ;-) --George Chernilevsky talk 10:39, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Apparently the machine that runs the script took a vacation while I was on vacation. I have restarted it again. Sorry about that :( /Daniel78 (talk) 21:39, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi, Daniel!
FPC rules changed now. 7 votes minimum need for promotion or delist. Please update FPCbot code.
