Your taggging of perfectly acceptable images, File:Cotal electrically-activated epicyclic gearbox (Autocar Handbook, 13th ed, 1935).jpg, is really not appreciated. Andy Dingley (talk) 09:37, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dude. Chill out, seriously. "Go to hell" really isn't necessary. It's true that the image would better be represented as a PNG. "Fine. If community consensus is that such images aren't wanted, then best delete them." This is also not necessary. One person adding a badjpeg template to an image does not constitute community consensus that all such images aren't wanted, or even that that one image isn't wanted. To the contrary, I think it's a great image. I just think it would be better as a PNG. Did you scan it yourself from The Autocar–in which case in the future simply changing the output format would be an easy solution–or do you have another source of already-scanned images which are already JPEGs? It's certainly not true, in this case or even in most cases, that no image is better than a JPEG image. You've obviously put a lot of work into contributing and that is very much appreciated, however your insult and and condescension border on the childish. —danhash (talk) 13:18, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
