If you are, as you say, acting in good faith, then I agree with Alvesgaspar that this seems like a funny way to give that impression. As the nomination is evidently controversial, might I suggest we leave it off the candidates list for the time being while discussing the issue on the FPC talk page? You might consider providing evidence of your good intentions by making some less controversial contributions to the Commons before you renominate this image.
