Autopatrol given[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. INeverCry 18:49, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thanks. CactusWriter (talk) 22:01, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Working on it[edit]

I'm picking my way through the 145 images, no need to make more nominations! Thank you very much for bringing this forward!! Ellin Beltz (talk) 19:18, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Ellin. I had notified User:DanielRigal that I placed a message on the Admin Noticeboard asking for a mass deletion -- just so he wouldn't need to tag them all individually. I believe he stopped tagging them all at this point. I really appreciate you dealing with this. Cheers. CactusWriter (talk) 19:26, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
They're all gone. Next time something like this happens, just poke an admin.  :) Thank you very much for bringing it up! Ellin Beltz (talk) 20:24, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again for your quick help, Ellin. CactusWriter (talk) 20:38, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2018 is open![edit]

Dear CactusWriter,

You are receiving this message because we noticed that you voted in R1 of the 2018 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in the second round. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2018) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked.

In the final (and current) round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2018.

Round 2 will end 17 March 2019, 23:59:59.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee 18:04, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

Thanks[edit]

Hi, I discovered this article via the German "cleanup" site. I don't know the person concerned and have no connection to her, but I wanted to thank you for suggesting speedy deletion. Of course your reason is the copyright violation, but this picture would also be a gross insult to the person herself. Hope it does get deleted soon. --217.239.14.59 22:16, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:Icon of maya 2023.png[edit]

Wouldn't File:Icon of maya 2023.png fit PD-simple or PD-textlogo? It is 3 shapes and a font. detriaskies 20:52, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think you're right. The image may considered too simple to be copyrightable. I've switched the licensing to PD-textlogo. Cheers. CactusWriter (talk) 22:19, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
