Your captions

[edit]

You added captions like "by courtesy of https://wfw.ch" to some files. That does not make sense in this way. If the operator of the spring is relevant write something like "Falknerbrunnen operated by WfW" but definitely without an URL. Read Commons:Captions for more information. --GPSLeo (talk) 17:17, 6 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My intention was to give credit to WfW for letting me use the pictures. They wanted me to link their Webpage. I didn't know where else to add this so I put it in the captions. If you have a better idea where I should put it i'd be happy to hear it. --Caahlo 10:40, 07 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The pictures are made by WfW? You stated them as your own works. --GPSLeo (talk) 10:49, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
They told me to mark them as my own work (since this is way easier) and that I simply have to link them.--Caahlo 10:58, 07 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That is not possible the person or institution made the photo needs to be stated as author. And if author and uploaded are different there needs to be a link to the original image where the license is written or there is a permission in the Commons:OTRS system needed. --GPSLeo (talk) 13:31, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks for the information. I'll contact them and I'll work out how to solve this Problem. Thanks for pointing out my errors.--Caahlo 15:35, 07 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
One more: you added stated in (P248) statements you images. I think you got something wrong there. The correct property for the location is location (P276). Thanks. --GPSLeo (talk) 17:20, 6 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This was intended. The Pictures I uploaded can also be found at lucernewater.ch. I just wanted to link them.--Caahlo 10:40, 07 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
