Aufräum-Kategorie[edit]

Hallo Burts, danke für die Hilfe beim Aufräumen der Kategorien, aber: Category:Files uploaded by darkweasel94 gibt es nicht, und Category:Files uploaded by darkweasel94 (cleanup) wird bitte von niemandem außer mir entfernt, denn es kann immer sein, dass ich noch mehr daran korrigieren will (z.B.), und wenn das einmal so sein sollte, finde ich es nicht mehr, wenn jemand die Kategorie entfernt hat. Es wäre ohnehin schön, wenn du selbst deine Dateien ordentlich kategorisieren würdest, statt der Massen-Uploads mit fragwürdem Haufen von Grobkategorien. Ja, ich habe versucht n bissel wieder Ordnung zu schaffen. Unter Category:Dresden lagen jetzt ca. 100 Dateien rum – da war auch schonmal Ordnung. Unter Category:Saxony genau so und Category:Saxonia ist ja völlig verkehrt! Sorry – die sind nicht von dir, sondern von User:Russavia.
Keine Ahnung woher du den Anspruch auf den Satz „wird bitte von niemandem außer mir entfernt“ nimmst – wenn du diese Kategorie als internes Tool nutzen möchtest, dann solltest du m.E. auch mal in die Kategorie was entsprechendes reinschreiben! Damit man die Dateien noch findet hatte ich sie ja unter der roten Kategorie abgelegt. Ein Cleanup war durchgeführt, daher hatte ich sie entfernt. -- burts ∞ 18:02, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ich kategorisiere die Fotos ja mit der Zeit um, aber ich kann nicht alles sofort machen, deshalb kommen sie ja eben in die cleanup-Kategorie, damit ich weiß, was ich noch kategorisieren muss. Jo. Ich schau immer mal in die Dresdner Hauptkategorie rein, und räume auf. Zumal da ja gerne auch Bilder aus Staffordshire oder Ohio landen... Die Reste die da jetzt noch drin sind kann ich nicht so richtig kategorisieren... Ich hatte aber die Tage auch zu ersten Mal systematisch nach verwaisten Bildern (media needing categories dresden) gesucht. -- burts ∞ 15:42, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Äh, doch. Ich hatte {{badname|Renaissense}} gesetzt, da die slowakische Band laut den Bandshirts auf den Fotos sowie ihrer fb-Seite mit einem n geschrieben wird (Category:Renaissense). Allerdings scheint es auch eine ältere britische Band gleichen Namens zu geben (bzw. deren Nachfolger). Insofern müsste zur Unterscheidung ggf. das Genre nachgestellt werden o.ä. Panoramio-Bilder kategorisieren / beschreiben / umbenennen[edit]

Hallo Burts, danke für Kategorisierung & Beschreibungsergänzungen z. B. [1]. Bitte, wenn Du die Bilder einmal anfasst, bitte gleich mit umbenennen / umbenennen lassen gemäß den Richtlinien Commons:Dateien verschieben:

  • Änderung komplett bedeutungsloser oder zweideutiger in sinnvolle Namen, die beschreiben, was auf dem Bild zu sehen ist. Als Beispiel wird hier genannt File:Paris 319.jpg → File:Paris 75018 Rue Norvins no 018 Le Consulat z.jpg, was genau auf das obige Problem Stadtteil, Dresden, Germany, panoramio (ZZZ).jpg zutrifft.
    • Einzige Information ist die ungefähre Position: Die einzige Information ist eine ungefähre Ortsangabe, wie eine Stadt, eine Region oder ein Land. In diesem Fall ist die Ortsangabe so weit gefasst, dass die meisten Nutzer daran ohne Hilfe eines Ortskundigen nicht erkennen könnten, wo das Bild genau gemacht wurde oder was das Bild zeigt.
    • Namen, die nicht bedeutungslos sind, aber die Datei nicht beschreiben: Der Name enthält eine für sich genommen sinnvolle Beschreibung oder Mitteilung, die aber den Dateiinhalt nicht beschreibt.

Mit einer akuraten Beschreibung einem akuraten Dateinamen ist beispielsweise die Sortierung innerhalb der Kategorie sinnvoll möglich. IKA[edit]

Du hattest vor 2 Jahren die Kategorie [VVB Installation, Kabel und Apparate der Elektrotechnik] angelegt. Ohne das zu wissen, habe ich die fast gleichlautende Kategorie [VVB Installation, Kabel und Apparate der Elektrotechnik (IKA)] angelegt. Da kann eine wieder weg, aber welche? Alternativ könnte man eine Kategorie für die Marke [IKA (brand)] anlegen oder ist eine Verschiebung zu dieser Kategorie möglich? Mit solchen Prozeduren kenne ich mich aber nicht aus.--Langläufer22 (talk) 05:34, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Langläufer22: Oh… Hallo Problem besteht noch immer:
Im Grunde geht alles. Sonst ist bei keinem der VVB eine Abkürzung nachgestellt. Bei anderen VEB hingegen schon. Sollte aber in jedem Fall auf eine Kategorie vereinigt werden.
Entweder man beauftragt einen Bot, oder verschiebt selbst alle Bilder und Unterkategorien in eine zentrale Kategorie. -- burts ∞ 09:15, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
