User rights[edit]

You now have rollbacker, confirmed user and file mover rights. PumpkinSky talk 15:31, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much. I think this will help with image file management. --15:39, 12 June 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by BrandonBigheart (talk • contribs)
Odder removed your rights. Please see User_talk:PumpkinSky#BrandonBigheart. If you wish to have these rights restored, please try requesting them back at Commons:Requests_for_rights. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 01:54, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion affecting you[edit]

This is to notify you of a discussion at Commons:Administrators'_noticeboard#User_rights_of_User:BrandonBigheart that affects you. PumpkinSky talk 20:29, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

Hi BrandonBigheart,
I am just another admin on Commons and I want to say Sorry for the somewhat bad welcome you have got, though you hadn't done anything wrong. No doubt, PumpkinSky meant well, but did not really follow our policy about advanced user-rights. You are already auto-confirmed, which is more than a mere starter. As has been explained by Russavia, currently we are a bit hesitant with file-mover rights as this has quite some "potential" and because CommonsDelinker is down since weeks. Though I wasn't involved, I regret the unnecessarily heated discussion on PumpkinSky's talkpage. This has nothing to do with you. Tensions on Commons are a bit too high in the moment, probably due to ongoing interwiki conflicts, recent unwarranted attacks on our most trusted volunteers and some of us are simply overworked. Again sorry, and happy editing/uploading. --Túrelio (talk) 20:59, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

+1. Take it light. Sometimes we are like rats in the hands of cats, while dealing with some so called admins. JKadavoor Jee 13:04, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you both. I'm not offended by the actions of odder. Every part of life has people like him. I'm happy to be here and able to help out with the projects I can improve. As I said in another page, this is the first person I have encountered of this type on the wiki. I chalk it up to a "goderator" complex. Some people wield power to do good; others wield power to satiate some psychological need. Cheers. --BrandonBigheart (TALK) 13:16, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
