Rainbow[edit]
Hey, I noticed you've uploaded several pictures from "Rainbow site" which you say are "believed to be in the public domain". It would be great if you could provide a url for the site on the image pages and also why you believe they're in the public domain. Please remember that the copyright holder doesn't need to include a copyright notice - they're copyrighted by default unless the owner says otherwise. They also need to have correct copyright tags - have a look at Commons:Licensing too! Cheers, Joolz 21:51, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:Rainbow-Arizona.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

Please do not overwrite images[edit]
Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. I notice that you have uploaded a new image and at the same time replaced an older one. I think you should know that this is only allowed when the two images are almost exactly alike. Here in Commons we would like to host as many different, useful versions as possible for Wikimedia projects to choose from. I have restored your image to an older version, but I hope you will upload your fine image with another name. Thank you, and happy editing! Samulili 10:23, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well if you want to maintain the censored version, then it should be at the new title. The original one should have the original name. Blackcats 00:34, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hi! There is no notion of original title on Commons. The original version is the first in the upload history. Therefore I reverted your uploads. Thanks for your understanding. — Xavier, 00:51, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure who deleted the old edit history, but the version with the teddy is the original version. You can check the archived discussion both here and on Wikipedia to verify this. There was never a consensus to adopt the censored version as the standard one, so the original one should have its original title restored. Blackcats 03:06, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- The policy is very clear and simple on Commons: images are not to replaced different images. I'm sorry but if you revert once more, I will have to block you. Samulili 09:04, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Blackcats. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Blackcats~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
