Yes thanks, I know. It is not my fault, it's a problem with Commons after the upload of the newest MediaWiki. There's supposed to be a template to turn them round. Geranium images[edit]

Hi, you uploaded File:Geranium bohemicum 01.jpg and File:Geranium bohemicum 02.jpg as the rare species Geranium bohemicum. In my opinion, both is Geranium sylvaticum which is a common species in Northern Europe. Please, compare with photos in the following pages: [1], [2]. based on geographic distribution data, I agree. I remember the field trip, and I remember certainly that I checked size, leaves etc carefully and found it not to resemble G sylvaticum. Thanks for your answer. Now I changed description and categories. I also removed the first photo from several wikipedia articles on Geranium bohemicum. Alle kulturminnekategoriene for Norge (Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Norway) har egne underkategorier for hver kommune, men når det gjelder Svalbard skal bildene i Category:Cultural heritage monuments at Svalbard. Hei! Nei, jeg vet ikke mer om det - jeg har bare brukt kart og ikke liste, og da får man ikke med seg at det er f.eks "skipsvrak". De har helt sikkert rett og i så fall bør det stå uten ID-nummer fra RAK. Men huset er fra 16-1700-tallet, så det er vel en del av den høye terskelen vår at ingen av byggene på Hovedøya er kulturminne. Morse keys[edit]

Hi, I am strongly assuming that you mixed up the text of two uploaded pictures, File:Morse key n jacobsen mek verksted 1935 IMG 3776 telenor bergen.JPG and File:Vibroplex morse key 1940-50s IMG 3774 telenor bergen.JPG. Then the exhibition confused the cards. Jacobsen was a Norwegian manufacturer of telegraph keys ([3]), Vibroplex is American, famous for the pendulum, which generates dots automatically, and still in buiness ([4]). Some plant IDs[edit]

Dear Bjoertvedt,

I changed the ID of the following images from Category:Succisa pratensis to Category:Knautia arvensis, because Succisa pratensis has blue, rather symmetrical flowers that are not so much different in size (see e.g. File:SuccisaPratensis2.jpg). Apparently there is no other species of Knautia in Norway, at least according to the rather old Flora Europaea. So this should be Knautia arvensis:

These three images show Kalmia procumbens (sometimes called Loiseleuria procumbens), not Saxifraga oppositifolia:

I corrected the categories, but I have not attempted to have these images renamed.

I also found a few photographs, which were supposed to show Saxifraga aizoides, which is obviously not the case; I suggest that they show some plant from the Brassicaceae family (with 4 petals instead of the usual 5 for Saxifraga aizoides, just for example!), possibly a Draba species. Unfortunately there seems to be quite a number of species from this genus in the area - and I do not even know whether the genus is right. These are the misidentified flower pictures:

Om man klikker på bildet for å få det i større format kan man se at det står Kaupanger på skiltet og Landsbyen Ringebu på flaggene, så det er sikkert i Ringebu. Vet du hvilken bygning det er? Jeg ser du har kategorisert dine bilder fra Oslo bispegård/Oslo gamle bispegård i Category:Bispegaarden. Denne kategorier gjelder bispegården i Kalundborg. Jeg går ut i fra at noen av bildene hører hjemme i Category:Oslo Ladegård, men jeg er usikker på om det gjelder alle (det er flere katalognumre i Riksantikvarens kulturminnebase ute og går her). I am sorry but I do not understand your question. I have used the Wizard and any lack of such vital tags is quite surprising to me. How many files is this applying to, I do not know, When you say "clean up your uploads", there is a difficulty when I have well above 12.000 "uploads". Though I have never seen on any of them that such important data like "source" and "author" are missing. Wikimedia Sverige

Neeeej, det har det inte. I Norge gör vi så där att man kan lasta upp också dom inte-registrerade kulturminnerna under WLM, men dom deltar inte i juryns bedömning. På det sättet får man inn också bilder af kulturminnen som för tilfellet inte står i Riksantikvariens databas, men som fortfarande kan betecknas som ett kulturminne. Men dom bilderna kan altså inte premieras. Hur ni gör det i Sverige bedömmar ni själve, och jag vill fölge dom reglarna ni har.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2014 - Ein Wiki-Beitrag für die Denkmaltopographie[edit]

Hallo Bjoertvedt,

vor zehn Tagen endete der vierte Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments. Du hast daran aktiv teilgenommen und wir möchten Dir dafür herzlich danken.

Mit mehr als 35 Tausend Fotos hat Deutschland wie in den Vorjahren ein gutes Ergebnis erreicht und einen Anteil von 14 % an diesem internationalen Projekt erbracht, an dem sich 40 Länder beteiligten. Sehr erfreulich ist die hohe Zahl an 651 Teilnehmern allein in Deutschland. Schon zum Abschluss des Wettbewerbs waren rund 6000 Fotos (=17 %) in Listen und Artikel eingebunden. Einen detaillierten Überblick zu den Fotos, den Bundesländern und Teilnehmern findest du auf unserer WLM-Projektseite.

Die deutsche Jury hat nun die eingereichten Beiträge übernommen und ist gegenwärtig dabei, diesen wertvollen Fotobestand zu den Kulturdenkmalen zu sichten. Am nächsten Wochenende wird in Hamburg die entscheidende Jury-Sitzung stattfinden. Wir wünschen auch Dir mit Deinem Foto-Beitrag dabei viel Glück und Erfolg. Du darfst gespannt sein und all Deine Freunde bitten, Dir die Daumen zu drücken.

Die preisgekrönten 100 Gewinner-Fotos werden in der Woche ab dem 20. Oktober veröffentlicht. Auf dieser Grundlage wird auch in diesem Jahr ein Kalender-Poster für 2015 gedruckt werden.

Auf zwei Möglichkeiten einer weiteren aktiven Mitwirkung an unserem Denkmal-Projekt möchten wir bei dieser Gelegenheit hinweisen bzw. Dich dazu einladen:

Unsere Freunde in Österreich haben mit einem gerade gestarteten Denkmal-Cup das Editieren von Denkmallisten und Denkmalartikeln in den Focus gerückt. Bis Ende des Jahres kannst Du Punkte sammeln und Preise gewinnen. Dabei geht es mit diesem Wettbewerb nicht nur um Kulturdenkmale in AT oder D, sondern generell um Denkmale in der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia, als offen für alle Länder.

Vom 6.-8. November findet erneut die Europäische Denkmalmesse in Leipzig statt. Mit Unterstützung von Wikimedia Deutschland e.V. werden wir zum zweiten Mal die Ergebnisse von Wiki Loves Monuments im Rahmen eines Standes sowie eines Workshops vorstellen.

WLM-Aktivisten sind herzlich eingeladen, bei der Betreuung des Messestandes sowie in den Gesprächen über Möglichkeiten einer partnerschaftlichen Zusammenarbeit mit den Denkmalbehörden mitzuwirken. Die Reisekosten übernimmt für 8-10 registrierte Standbetreuer WMDE. Es muss nicht der gesamte Messezeitraum sein, auch eine Mitwirkung an 2 Tagen hilft uns, den Beitrag der Wikipedia für die Denkmaltopographie sichtbar zu machen.

Und schließlich gilt: Nach dem Wettbewerb ist vor dem Wettbewerb. Bereits jetzt kann jeder mit der Planung von Wiki Loves Monuments 2015 beginnen. Wir freuen uns auf Deine weiteren Beiträge für Wikimedia-Projekte.

Der WLM-Countdown hat begonnen[edit]

Hallo Bjoertvedt,

nun ist es wieder soweit. Vom 1. bis zum 30. September findet zum fünften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Im Mittelpunkt steht bekanntlich das Fotografieren von Kulturdenkmalen. Du hast an einem der letzten Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen und wir freuen uns auf weitere Bildbeiträge von Dir.

Viele interessante Motive, nicht nur Burgen und Schlösser, sondern auch Fachwerkhäuser, Brücken und Brunnen, technische und Industriedenkmale und vieles mehr gibt es noch zu fotografieren, damit sie in der Wikipedia dokumentiert werden können. Nützliche Tipps findest du auf unserer WLM-Projektseite. Du kannst gerne individuell Fototouren durchführen oder aber Dich auch Gruppentouren anschließen. Besonders freuen wir uns auf Fotos, die Lücken in den Denkmallisten der Wikipedia ausfüllen.

Darüber hinaus kannst Du auch an der Arbeit der Jury teilnehmen, die Mitte Oktober die Fotos bewerten und die Gewinner ermitteln wird. Bis zum 15. August kannst du hier Deine Bewerbung einreichen.

Attribution is done, but the YouTube license allows YouTube itself and its advertising partners to use material without restrictions or any conditions. Hi and thanks for notifying me on this one! I have usually pursued such abuses from rich media channels and newspapers, while this seems to be some civil society force behind the YouTube snut (right?) which I would normally not pursue. However, they may risk sanctions from others, so they should clearly be told about the rules. If I read you correctly, I would then assume that virtually no Commons material can appear on YouTube, since they use other licenses than CCBY-compatible ones? Brødrene Aarbakk pallefabrikk[edit]

Jeg ser at du har skrevet Vest-Telemark Teknologipark i filnavnene på File:Seljord aarhusmoen IMG 2685 Vest-Telemark Teknologipark.JPG og File:Seljord E134 aarhusmoen IMG 2686 Vest-Telemark Teknologipark.JPG. Det er riktig at Vest-Telemark Teknologipark skal bygges i området der, men det er på nabotomta utenfor venstre bildekant, på en stor åpen tomt inntil veien. Byggingen er ikke påbegynt ennå, og det er ikke ventet ferdig før tidligst 2018/2019, i forbindelse med åpningen av Mælefjelltunnelen. Men siden det er ment å rettes mot offshoreindustrien og vi nå tilsynelatende har en krise der, så blir jeg ikke overrasket om prosjektet drøyer litt. Bygget som er i bildene er den tidligere pallefabrikken til Brødrene Aarbakk AS som gikk konkurs i september 2010. Akkurat hva som var der da du tok bildene vet jeg ikke, men jeg tror det er flyttet inn noen andre treforedlingsbedrifter der. Uansett er kanskje Århus industriområde eller Århusmoen industriområde (jeg tror førstnevnte er det korrekte, mens Århusmoen er adressa) greit å ha i filnavnene. Du erhältst diese Nachricht, weil du bei Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 teilgenommen hast.

Auch in diesem Jahr beteiligt sich Deutschland wieder am internationalen Fotowettbewerb rund um Bau- und Kulturdenkmale. Bisher wurden bereits mehr als 18.000 Bilder hochgeladen – und wir würden uns sehr über weitere Bilder von Dir freuen. Noch bis zum 30. September 2016 kannst Du Deine Bilder hochladen. Alles Wissenswerte erfährst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Außerdem möchten wir Dich einladen, ab 12. September 2016 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese sichtet und bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 in Deutschland.

Фотоконкурсът „Уики обича Земята“ 2017 започва – очакваме те![edit]

получаваш това писмо, тъй като миналата година си участвал/а в изданията на „Уики обича Земята“ през 2015 или 2016 г. или „Уики обича паметниците“ 2015 или 2016. До края на този месец юни, те каним отново да участваш в тазгодишното фотосъстезание „Уики обича Земята 2017“.

Отново търсим твоите снимки от защитените природни обекти на България – национални и природни паркове, резервати, защитени местности и природни забележителности и отново това могат да са както пейзажи, така и снимани в близък план животни и растения. Специален акцент тази година поставяме на снимките на балканските и българските еднемични растителни видове. Отново няма ограничения за броя снимки, с които можеш да участваш в конкурса и можеш да използваш същата регистрация в Общомедия като миналогодишната. Не е нужно и снимките да са правени през този един месец – можеш да разгледаш архивите си и да споделиш снимки и от минали години и сезони. Единственото условие на конкурса е да отдадеш снимките си под свободен лиценз и без водни знаци и други надписи с декларации за авторството върху тях.

Авторите на първите 10 класирани снимки ще продължат в международния кръг на „Уики обича Земята“ и ще представят страната ни. Някои от партньорите ни в конкурса ще предоставят награди – книги по география и екология. Междувременно, ако качиш над 25, 50 и 100 снимки, ще получиш съответно виртуална бронзова, сребърна и златна УОЗ-значка ;)

Но най-важното за „Уики обича Земята“ е, че с дарените от теб снимки енциклопедичното знание, достъпно на български език, се разраства и подобрява, тъй като използваме снимките за илюстриране на съществуващи и създаване на нови статии в Уикипедия! Затова не се колебай, а участвай! :)

Hi Bjoertvedt - can you recheck the identity of File:Cacatua goffiniana - Palmas del Mar PR - Pterocarpus Forest IMG 2333.jpg and File:Cacatua goffiniana - Palmas del Mar PR - Pterocarpus Forest IMG 2335.jpg please? They do not match descriptions and images of Cacatua goffiniana, which has (a) a shorter, white crest, (b) a diffuse reddish spot on the lores which yours don't, and (c) a paler bill. Du får det här meddelandet eftersom du tidigare har bidragit med bilder till de svenska deltävlingarna av Wiki Loves Earth eller Wiki Loves Monuments. Jag hoppas att du vill vara med i år också! Som vanligt ingår naturreservat och nationalparker, biosfärområden och naturminnen i tävlingen! Tävlingen började 1 maj, och pågår under hela maj månad. Om du har varit ute i världen och rest kan du även se om resorna sammanfaller med övriga internationella deltävlingar, och i så fall vara med och tävla även där. Även om fortsatt försiktighet är att rekommendera går det bra att ge sig ut på fotosafari och fotografera naturen i ditt närområde – eller varför inte damma av fotoalbumen och tävla med bilder du har tagit tidigare?

Hallo Kollege, ich habe mir erlaubt die Beschreibung Ihrer Aufnahme File:Sjöllingstad IMG 3220 spinnery combed wool.JPG zu korrigieren. Falls die Leute im Museum den Titel und die Beschreibung so bestimmt haben, war es ein Irrtum. Für gekämmte Wolle (combed wool) werden andere Ringspinnmaschinen gebraucht. Du får det här meddelandet eftersom du tidigare har bidragit med bilder till de svenska deltävlingarna av Wiki Loves Earth eller Wiki Loves Monuments. Jag hoppas att du vill vara med i år också! Som vanligt ingår naturreservat och nationalparker, biosfärområden och naturminnen i tävlingen! Nytt för i år är att vi utöver bästa foto även belönar fotograferande av tidigare ofotograferade objekt samt bästa bildserie om minst tio fotografier av samma objekt. Tävlingen börjar 1 maj, och pågår under hela maj månad. Om du har varit ute i världen och rest kan du även se om resorna sammanfaller med övriga internationella deltävlingar, och i så fall vara med och tävla även där. Expeditioner, fotosafari eller en helt vanlig promenad? Via en smidig karta som visar ditt närområde hittar du bra ställen att besöka – eller varför inte damma av fotoalbumen och tävla med bilder du har tagit tidigare?
