Problème de Category[edit]

Salut Baronnet,

"Categories and/or galleries?
"Note the "and/or" above. Some users are of the opinion that when an image is included in a gallery article, it is sufficient to categorize that article. Others believe that each individual image should be categorized too. The consensus on this issue, as determined by vote, is that both systems are equally valid and should be used concurrently. Do not remove categories just because an image is in a categorized gallery. It is hoped that in the future the software will be updated to merge the functionalities of galleries and categories into one. Automated tools for finding images must dig through categories and gallery articles." Source : Commons:Categories
Baronnet 14:08, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. License change[edit]

Hi Marc, I changed the license here because of the now public domain content of the file. Regards --Friechtle (talk) 11:57, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's strange that I cannot choose the license of the photos that I publish, but I guess they are too true a likeness of the original painting... I'll take that for a compliment to the photographer. Thanks anyway to have told me of this license change. Baronnet (talk) 09:42, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Your image was alright (and also right licensed). But now, that the border of the image and everything else three dimensional was removed via image editing, the file only shows the work of an painter who is nearly 100 years dead. And because of this, the image is in the public domain (and it is necessary to license an image correct as PD). Theoretical you could restore the original image and license, and the picture that shows only the painter's work could be uploaded in an extra file, but I don't think that is necessary, is it? Best regards :) --Friechtle (talk) 22:41, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lorraine[edit]

Bonjour Baronnet.
