Happyornot[edit]

Hello!

You've added and given it a wrong name. It's not a HappyorNot product but a ViewPoint product.--Jjanhone (talk) 07:55, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I have requested renaming Back ache (talk) 10:15, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File:MaydaysLogoWebsite.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

The Road Not Taken[edit]

In your reading of The Road Not Taken, I notice that you have diverged from the text in half a dozen places, usually by adding or omitting an article or conjunction. Were you reciting the poem from memory, or did you deliberately edit it? --ABehrens (talk) 01:32, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@ABehrens: Good spot, it is was one of the earlier records I did, I have redone it now, a few months experience on and hopefully, it is better for that. What would you recommend I record next? Back ache (talk) 14:39, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you're looking for another Frost poem, maybe Birches. It's fairly well known, but no so common that everyone has heard it. --ABehrens (talk) 02:07, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Slight Deviation in File:Fire and Ice.ogg[edit]

Hello. Just passing on some feedback from an editor on the English Wikipedia. They pointed out that the narration for Fire and Ice diverges slightly from the original text. In the recording, you say "But if I had to perish twice" whereas the original text is "But if it had to perish twice." Living Concrete (talk) 07:25, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Living Concrete: Thank you, I have just redone it, thanks for the heads-up Back ache (talk) 10:58, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Brighton pics[edit]

Thanks for you note, and thanks especially for letting me know about WikiShootMe: I'm finding it very useful for my work on both Commons and Wikipedia. Cheers, Hassocks5489 (talk) 21:13, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have managed to link-up what seems like over a hundred of your Brighton photos so far, good work!
I see a reference number is often in your filenames, I found out what NHLE is but what is "IoE Code" ? Back ache (talk) 11:14, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry I clicked through your image and founds its "Images of England Project" 13:11, 9 August 2022 (UTC) Back ache (talk) 13:11, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the IoE code numbers were a predecessor of what is now the National Heritage List for England reference numbers for listed buildings. Unfortunately the NHLE numbers were only introduced a few years ago, so my older pictures of listed buildings refer to the IoE code instead. There is no direct correlation between the two numbers, but it is possible to check the NHLE number by entering the old IoE code here (section "Old Record Number (e.g. Listed Building Number)"). Hassocks5489 (talk) 21:27, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wikicommmons does have a "query service" so it maybe possible to programmatically identify images with "(IoE)" in the filename, that could be the first step in aligning them with their new numbers, for example, this link list all your 2000+ images Hassocks5489 The Voice of Hassocks Just IoE)Back ache (talk) 10:37, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
