Hello, thank you for this nice image of a key deer..--Altaileopard (talk) 17:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to share. He saw me with the camera and it's almost as if he posed for me. Marc Averette (talk) 02:18, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FYI. This is one of yours that I apparently transferred to Commons from en.wiki a few years back. Postdlf (talk) 19:23, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Marc,

I work for AFAR Media, a travel media company whose mission is to inspire and enable travelers to have richer, deeper and more authentic travel experiences around the world. We publish AFAR Magazine, which has twice been named America's best travel magazine, and AFAR.com, an online travel guide that has been recognized by the New York Times, Time magazine and many others as breaking new ground in inspiring and enabling great travel experiences (see www.afar.com/).

I’m creating content to recommend that travelers visit Key West and would like to use the images in the following links. I would like to request your authorization and approval to do so.

http://www.afar.com/highlights/see-the-sea-life-at-the-key-west-aquarium?context=wanderlist&context_id=23684

AFAR also provides destination guides for partners, such as Westin Finds from AFAR, in which AFAR recommends places for Westin Hotel guests to visit. (See westinfinds.com/) We would also like to include your images in these recommendations.

If this is acceptable to you, I need you to reply to me that you are in agreement with the following provision, have the rights to the images and are authorized to provide this consent:

CONSENT AND AGREEMENT

AFAR Media is hereby granted royalty-free authorization and license to publish, display and use the images in AFAR Magazine, on AFAR,com, on WestinFinds.com, mobile variations thereof, and in such other electronic, digital, and print channels as AFAR and its partners shall determine, including in social media and collateral marketing materials. It is understood that you retain copyright ownership over the images, and this is a license only.

We will share our recommendation with you after it is complete. Thank you very much for your consideration.

All the best, Lara

Yes, you have my consent to use the above photos. - Marc Averette

Photo: The Miami Herald Building. License Request for Motion Picture Use[edit]

Dear Marc-

We are a motion picture production company in Los Angeles making a feature movie called "Papa," about Ernest Hemingway and his friendship with a young Miami news reporter during the late 1950's. We'd very much like your permission to use the following image of the Miami Herald, assuming that you are the sole rights holder: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Miami_Herald#mediaviewer/File:Miami_Herald_building.jpg

We would need to license all rights, worldwide, in perpetuity. The movie is scheduled to debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May of this year.

Please contact me directly at the following email address to discuss further: rahprods@dslextreme.com

Thank you most kindly.

Regards,

Robert Hackl Post Production Supervisor / Papa

Thanks for uploading File:Icon South Beach.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

File:Little Haiti wall mural 20110216.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
