complete book of knowledge[edit]

You have replaced a perfectly good file with a gigantic image that does not serve its purpose. I have attempted to revert your upload, and please consider the use of the image (on user pages), where it is not a thumbnail. Thanks. WomenArtistUpdates (talk) 15:26, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, should the high-quality image be file:Book of Knowledge.jpg, then? Currently the two files are near-identical, but for some reason both are used by the service awards templates. Arlo James Barnes 15:45, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Because I think that one of the three is the original (Tutnum6.jpg) and the latter three are digitally retouched (although slightly). It seems that in Book of Knowledge.jpg it was added the string "secret appendix", in Book of Knowledge2.jpg also the string "errata" and finally in Book of Knowledge.jpg a blue "signed copy" stamp. For the uses of the file, at least on it.wiki, see (in ascending order):

You should not upload over an image with an another one very different (the change of size is ok, but it were also changed the colour and the part of the book represented) and also with a completely different aspect ratio (You have cropped the image with an aspect ratio of 5 (225×1115), so a huge image appeared on the pages where the file was previously used). You should upload them with new names, as I saw that you have multiple new images about the book other than the three images already present in The Complete Compendium of Universal Knowledge). --ZandDev (talk) 17:31, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Encyclopædia files move[edit]

I also moved the files that you have inserted in The Complete Compendium of Universal Knowledge (as they refers to a different book) to The Book of Knowledge, but I was unable to clearly distinguish The Book of Knowledge (Q64775219) (en) from The Children's Encyclopædia (Q7722457) (en) and if a new category for containing the files I moved is necessary or more suitable. --ZandDev (talk) 02:52, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Biofouling"[edit]

Biofouling appears to be marine related only. Should this be here? [1]. Also, thanks for the 'thank you.' -- Ooligan (talk) 04:35, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was also hesitant, but I don't really know of a better cat that expresses "organism in machine caused machine to cease normal function for a time". Arlo James Barnes 23:05, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
