Eerste stappen
Onze handleiding Eerste stappen en onze FAQ kunnen u enorm helpen na registratie. Ze lichten toe hoe u instellingen kunt aanpassen (zoals bijvoorbeeld de taal), hoe u bestanden kunt uploaden en beschrijven ons licentiebeleid. U heeft geen technische kennis nodig om aan dit project bij te dragen. Wees moedig in uw bijdragen en ga uit van goede wil met betrekking tot bedoelingen van anderen. Dit is een wiki - allemaal erg eenvoudig.

Meer informatie is beschikbaar in het Gebruikersportaal. U kunt vragen stellen in De Kroeg, bij de Help desk (Engels) of op IRC-kanaal#wikimedia-commons. U kunt ook contact opnemen met een beheerder op zijn overlegpagina. Als u een specifieke vraag heeft over auteursrechten, stel die dan op Commons talk:Licensing.

Tips en truuks
  • Zet Babel-sjablonen op uw gebruikerspagina zodat anderen weten welke talen u machtig bent and indicate your Graphics abilities.
  • Al uw toegevoegde bestanden worden opgeslagen in uw persoonlijke Gallery
  • Onderteken uw bijdragen op overlegpagina's door af te sluiten met ~~~~
  • Gebruik het hulpmiddel CommonSense om uw bestanden toepasselijk te categoriseren; dan kunnen andere gebruikers ze ook vinden!
  • Maak een link naar een afbeelding als volgt: [[:Image:Foo.jpg]], dat geeft het volgende resultaat: Image:Foo.jpg
  • Als u bestanden kopieert van een andere project, gebruik dan CommonsHelper
Een fout gemaakt?
  • Wilde u een bestand hernoemen of verplaatsen? Upload het gewoon nog een keer en markeer het oude bestand als volgt: {{bad name|Juiste naam}}
  • Lees de volledige richtlijnen voor verwijdering voor meer informatie.

Your image Image:Coat of arms of the Netherlands.svg[edit]

Hi I noticed you uploaded a new Coat of arms of the Netherlands. However I noticed you made spelling mistake in the motto which should be Je Maintiendrai instead of Je Mainteindram. Furthermore there is a symbolic function to the number and position of the yellow oblongs on the blue field; and the bundle of arrows should be opened up in a fan rather than held parallel. The number of arrows is also fixed. Could you please find all the relevant information and correct this in your version before pushing this coat-of-arms. Thanks for your message. I've made the changes you have suggested: Motto: I'm not sure how the motto became so messed up...it is now correct. Arrows: The number of arrows was always correct (7). They are now in a fan. Background: I've fixed the "yellow oblongs" (billity or). I misread the blazon. Apologies. In the new image the billity is slightly smaller than standard. This is because the arms will often be shown as thumbnails etc. and so a less busy background is an advantage, I think.

It looks like the motto is now Je Mantiendrai instead of Je Maintiendrai. Also something I did not notice before, but I am not sure whether the central lion should wear a crown (but I am not sure it should not either). I've fixed the motto- apparently the file didn't save after I had changed it. The central lion should wear a coronet but I haven't seen anything which specifies its design. That's why I went for a generic one. If does have a specific description of it, I'd be happy to change it! Arcjgh 16:25, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Swedish National Coat of Arms (once more)[edit]

IMHO your image of the Swedish National Coat of Arms is incorrect in several ways:

  1. The cross in the shield should have outbent arms
  2. The streams in the second and third field should be bendlets wavy, not just ordinary bendlets.
  3. The lions in the second and third field should not have doubled or forked tails.
  4. The lions in the second and third field should be crowned with an open crown or, not an open crown gules.
  5. It is most obvious that all the lions are taken from the current design of the arms of the Czech Republic. The lions tails are arranged in a way that is not common for other coat of arms. The look of the tails is a characteristic of the arms of the Czech Republic.
  6. The royal crown on top of the shield and on the mantling should have leaves, not fleurs-de-lis.
  7. The collar of the Order of Seraphim is lacking the badge of the order, which is the most important part of the insignia of the order.
  8. The seraphs in the collar does not look like the seraphs used by the Order of Seraphim.
  9. There is some kind of ring of short lines between the shield and the collar. That is something (I do not know what) that should not be there.

If you are not able to fix these faults, I would suggest that the image is to be deleted. B****n 11:58, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
