Incorrect licensing[edit]

Hi, thanks for putting this map into svg. However, this is licensed, and its details have not been properly filled out, including attribution. Please do it as soon as possible. Iñaki LL (talk) 10:59, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing this out, I thought that this was fixed before I uploaded. Attribution should be fixed now, but if there are any further issues I am forgetting, feel free to inform me, I would like it to be correct. Also feel free to contact me if you have any issues with the vectorized image itself. There were a few liberties taken in the translation. AquitaneHungerForce (talk) 14:11, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Good, AquitaneHungerForce, thanks for your effort. Please also sign your comments (in Visual Editor, go to the Insert menu, drop down it and there you are, Sign/Signature); otherwise, it should show in the Wiki Markup options under the editing box. Vectorized Toronto subway map[edit]

I see you changed the map in the Toronto subway article. The original was better (format wise) as it more accurately showed the lines. There are also spelling mistakes in your version. Why not vectorize my version instead?

Also, the map isn't fully mine. It's a modification of one made by Craftwerker.

Thanks. Transportfan70 (talk) 01:37, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for all your work. I based the shape of the lines on some official material depicting the lines (or maybe it was based on CraftWerker's version, I looked at both and I can't remember how I decided). I don't know if a geographic version vs. stylized is better per se that does seem like a matter of opinion. I did feel that since the other lines were pretty stylized it seemed better to be consistent across the diagram, which is again a matter of opinion. As for the other two points, I was not and still am not aware of the spelling mistakes (I would not have made them intentionally), and I was not aware of a vector version of the particular file I was vectorizing or I would not have made a version in the first place. If your version is superior feel free to make it the version on the page, please do add a link to the vector version on the raster image though so that it can be found from there. And if you would like I would be very happy to fix the spelling errors. Thank you. AquitaneHungerForce (talk) 03:40, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I just found and fixed two spelling errors. I misspelled "Sheppard" both times. I can't be sure that that is everything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AquitaneHungerForce (talk • contribs) 15:30, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Czech symbol colours[edit]

Hello, thanks for vectorising Czech municipal symbols! Just a note – Czech symbols very rarely use colours other than the basic white, blue, red, green, yellow, black but a lot of bitmaps here are scans with hue and brightness shifts that don't reflect the official description, like the almost pink stripes in Velké Přítočno are supposed to be red, sometimes a regular green looks teal etc. Some scans are also very dark (example) but again, the original colour is just a regular blue, not dark blue. Otherwise you are free to pick whatever shade you like.--TFerenczy (talk) 19:11, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Deleonism.svg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Deleonism.svg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

I was looking at your vectorized subway map today and noticed that St. Clair station is mislabeled on the map as St. Clair West. I assume that's a quick fix. Username6892 18:25, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It should be fixed now. AquitaneHungerForce (talk) 22:21, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Shield with two red vultures.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

minnesota seal proposal[edit]

can you fix the seal so that their isnt empty spaces on the end and make the seal meet the edge of it Skunkcrew (talk) 23:47, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I cropped the image down so there's equal space on all sides. Making the space exactly zero doesn't look good because of small amounts of imprecision. AquitaneHungerForce (talk) 23:56, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
