Re: Mexico City[edit]

¡Hola! I will add the descriptions and categories to your excellent photos. I didn't recognize the second sculpture (Mexico_City_(2018)_-_051.jpg), do you remember more or less the place were you take the photo? Thanks, --ProtoplasmaKid (talk) 13:07, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@ProtoplasmaKid: File:Mexico City (2018) - 051.jpg was taken in or near the Gandhi Park running trail, which seems to be just north of Paseo de la Reforma, Chapultepec. By the way, all my pictures are displayed in chronological order at User:Another Believer/Mexico City, if seeing nearby photographs helps. If you can identify any other images without captions, that'd be a great help! Thanks again for taking a look. I loved visiting Mexico City and hope to return some day. -Another Believer (talk) 14:01, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File:Austin, Texas (2018) - 006.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Churches in Mexico City and Puebla[edit]

No, I'm from Italy and I'm only putting order... I give the right category to images, remove redundancies and, when necessary, I create the appropriate category. It's long time I'm working on churches, in general, no specific knowledge of Mexico. I'm sorry. --Ermanon (talk) 17:20, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ermanon: No problem, just thought I'd ask. Happy editing! -Another Believer (talk) 17:23, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Photo walk in Stockholm[edit]

It's only a few weeks until Wikimania 2019 in Sweden. I'd like to invite you to the Commons Photographer's photo walk. If you're planning on going to Stockholm in August, please consider joining this event. This is an opportunity to connect with other photographers, have fun together, and explore the beauty of an iconic Scandinavian city… All the best, --Frank Schulenburg (talk) 03:43, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I won't be in Stockholm, but thanks for the invite. -Another Believer (talk) 04:29, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to hear that. Hope we'll be able to meet again soon! --Frank Schulenburg (talk) 04:36, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

St. Joseph's, Oklahoma City[edit]

Thank you! But I really don't have an eye for this kind of thing — if I started nominating a bunch of images (mine or other people's), I'd probably overwhelm the nomination process with poor-quality stuff. Nyttend (talk) 02:08, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Nyttend: You might be surprised. The nomination process is very quick and easy, and you will quickly learn which of your images may qualify. Consider nominating 2 of your favorite images, just for the learning experience. I see many return photographers nominating 5 per day (the max), and the system does not seem clogged or inactive at all. Worst case scenario, two of your images receive no votes. Was just an idea, and either way, thanks for your many contributions here and other Wikimedia projects! -Another Believer (talk) 02:10, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments in the United States – Back for 2019![edit]

This user participated in Wiki Loves Monuments 2019.

Want to show your participation in Wiki Loves Monuments 2019? Add {{User Wiki Loves Monuments 2019}} to your userpage!

Hello! Last year you contributed to Wiki Loves Monuments 2018 in the United States. Thanks to people like you it was a great success, with over 1,900 people contributing over 10,000 photos of cultural and historic sites from all over the country. Hundreds of these photos now help illustrate Wikipedia articles, improving our open knowledge about United States history, culture, and heritage. If you haven't seen the winners yet, be sure to check them out here.

I'm pleased to say that we're back this year with Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in the United States, and I'd like to welcome you to participate once again in the event. Check out our updated event page for more information. Just like last year, you'll be able to upload your photos of any registered historical site in the United States through the end of September (even if the photos were taken before this month).

If you've traveled and taken photos of monuments in non-US countries, you can see if those countries are also participating here.

Once again, thank you for participating in Wiki Loves Monuments 2018, and we hope to see you again in this year's event! If you'd like to respond to this message directly, please do so on on my talk page. ~Kevin Payravi (talk) 05:15, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments in the United States 2019 – Last day to enter![edit]

This user participated in Wiki Loves Monuments 2019.
Want to show your participation in Wiki Loves Monuments 2019? Add {{User Wiki Loves Monuments 2019}} to your userpage!

September 30th is the last day to upload photos for Wiki Loves Monuments! We're thrilled that the United States has almost reached 4,000 contributions so far this year. Of these images, ~370 (~9%) have already been used to help illustrate Wikipedia articles and pages on other wiki projects, which is fantastic.

If you've already made a photo contribution this year, thanks so much! If you have any last-minute photos of U.S. historical sites to upload and enter into the contest, today's the day to do it. Check out the United States event page for more information. Judging will take place throughout the month of October, after which the top-ten national finalists will be announced in early November.

If you've traveled and taken photos of monuments in non-US countries, you can see if those countries are also participating here.

As always, thank you for participating in Wiki Loves Monuments! If you'd like to respond to this message directly, please do so on on my talk page. ~Kevin Payravi (talk) 05:49, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Another QI nominations[edit]

If you are not particularly bound by the obligation to nominate images by user Daderot, then i want to invite you to make nominations images by user Archaeodontosaurus. He creates really high-quality images, but he rarely makes their nominations for QI. I believe that he will be grateful for your help. If in the near future you have a list for nominations, then at least consider this possibility for long-term plans.
However, not all images by Archaeodontosaurus will be approved as QI.
