Bird images, articles and categories[edit]
Hello, I am working on Wikispecies wikispecies:User:Open2universe with birds. I am trying to add photos to the articles there. I am confused as to whether I should look at articles or categories. I see that you have removed some photos from categories. Can you tell me why? When I look at the article Anatidae it looks like someone thought we should have both categories and articles for each species. If it is decided to remove species level categories I could help. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{Cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Widzę, że się sporo napracowałaś. Niestety z tego co widzę, to na razie jest projekt w zasadzie jednoosobowy i nie jestem pewien czy do końca trafiony. To znaczy jeśli by to było jakoś wspomagane automatycznie, to tak, no bo trudno wymagać od kogoś, że zapamięta te numerki, albo zawsze będzie się przeklikiwał przez ileś stron, zanim wstawi obrazek... W każdym razie to jest tak, że tam jeden szablon wywołuje drugi i stąd ten tekst, pewnie w przyszłości można by dodać język poprzez dodatkowy parametr i wtedy dołączane byłoby tłumaczenie na zasadzie Cośtam, cośtam/pl.
No, ale generalnie to może jeszcze się z tym wstrzymaj. Myślę, że zanim to porządnie ruszy, to już będę miał jakoś więcej czasu i będę mógł Ci pomóc. Niestety ostatnio, albo ktoś mnie do czegoś goni, albo jestem chory, a ostatnio jedno i drugie :(...
Tymczasem możesz potłumaczyć na przykład szablony informacyjne. Robota całkiem przyjemna i potrzebna. W każdym razie tabelka jest w "Centrum koordynacji tłumaczeń", fajnie by było, gdyby było mniej czerwonego pl :).

Media of the day[edit]
Witaj, bardzo dobrze, że zajęłaś się dodawaniem opisów do tych plików. Często stosujesz tam myślniki. Chciałbym zauważyć tylko, że w jeż. polskim, zapisujemy, je używając półpauzy (–), pauzy (—) ale nie dywizu (-). Niestety tylko ostatni z tych znaków jest na klawiaturach – można go jednak uzyskać wciskając jeden z przycisków pod polem edycji. - osób już wgrywających mniejsze czy większe ilości zdjęć do Wikimedia
Commons - niezależnie od ich jakości
- fototoamatorów - nie związanych dotąd z projektami Wikimedia
- zawodowych fotografów - w charakterze doradców i wykładowców
Nie ma znaczenia jaki typ fotografii preferujesz - w Wikimedia Commons jest miejsce zarówno dla portrecistów, dokumentalistów, jak i fotografów pejzażu miejskiego i przyrody. Wikiwarsztaty będą miały charakter kameralny (max. 40-50 osób) i trwały przez weekend 1-3 maja 2010 <sobota-poniedziałek>, Zajęcia będą się odbywały w Łódzkim Domu Kultury oraz w plenerze. Organizatorzy zapewniają w ramach opłaty konferencyjnej (50 zł od osoby) - nocleg( PTSM na ul. Zamenhoffa), wyżywienie (obiady) i bezpłatny dostęp do Internetu w trakcie obrad.

My name is Rita Neves.
I work in Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, that is a Public Organism in Portugal.
Actually, we are working on a road book of Biodiversity of Lisbon, for which we are going to produce a panel and a brochure. We found your photos on Wikimedia Commons and liked specially one of them very much, so we would like to know if you could allow us to use your photos, for free, to publish on this project, knowing that the brochure of will be for free distribution to everyone. The photo we would like to use are the following:
