Ah, you are in Paris, Louvre, I see.Clin I think I have a photo in my archives from almost the same spot in June. Only your version has better detail level, light and symmetry. As I know you also appreciate pedantic details, you might want to supotimize on the perspective correction. If you see Jebulon, send my best regards. Alas, Alas, Alas... I'm so sorry we did not meet... It is my fault, because I'm sick, and too tired to spend an evening, as promissed, with Joaquim. Again and again, I've functional problems with my digestive system, and nor me neither (a lot of) doctors know how to solve this issue. "Nichts schlimm", but I'm really tired these days, and must rest at home for the moment. Anyway, I'm really sorry no rendez-vous was possible...

  • Well, may be we meet in Paris even before the absolution is due in Porto Covo! The map exhibition in the Bibliothèque nacionale is so gorgeous, and I had so little time for seing it, that I may return. For trying the new camera I had one hour only and the weather was terrible. The picture of the Arc de Triomphe was taken when the sun was shining through the clouds, already low above the horizon (that can be seem by the shadows on the monument).   • It is  Awesome! image quality in that shot of The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. Short glimpses of sun through the clouds are sometimes very good, which I also realized recently, with two FPs from the same place (almost) on the same day with generally moody light but occasional sun in between showers. --Slaunger (talk) 22:59, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oui, le catalogue est magnifique et pas trôp cher. Il est dommage q'un certain chapitre n'a pas été écrit directement en français: la traduction de l'anglais n'est pas três élégante... What do you mean by random composition? I had to shoot the bell from all sides, so the composition could not be better or worse, the author can not choose in this situation at all. Yes, sometimes it is just not possible to get a good shot of some subjects due to their location, weather conditions, presence of tourists, etc. It is unfortunate but part of the game! In my opinion, QIC should stick to absolute standards and be blind to those difficulties (unlike FP).
