Old stave church Fantoft picture[edit]
Where is the evidence that this is a correct picture of the church. It looks completely different and the is no year given when the foto was taken. Can you prove it that this is a picture of the old Fantoft church? --Micha L. Rieser 06:49, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Please write to the summary:
- year (or decade or centuary)
- the data of the original book, where it was scanned.
thanks! --Micha L. Rieser 06:53, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
According to my knowledge this is the Fantoft stave church, named "Fortun kirke" at that moment, and the same image is used in several books. Note that this is only a small part of the original picture. The image is also used in De norske stavkirkene by Jiri Havran and Leif Anker, ISBN 9788291399270. According to this book the image is from 1873. The church was relocated in 1883 at Fantoft in Bergen. The image is now in Antikvarisk Arkiv, at Riksantikvaren. If a higher quality image is necessary I might contact them. Jeblad 22:28, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
