File:Map of the Cliefden area showing possible flooding.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

This map was created in ARCGIS using raw data. Additional information was added also in that program. I don't want to be rude, however new maps are created all the time now using the raw vector data available from government and other sources.

If you want comments to be considered in the discussion of whether to delete the image or not, you must make them at the DR -- comments made here probably will be seen only by me and you.
I certainly understand that maps can be made from raw data using GIS -- I have been, briefly, Vice President of a GIS company and have produced one map myself from my own raw data, see File:Eritrean Railway Map of March, 1998.jpg. However, such maps appear very rarely on Commons -- a map that does not credit a source for the base map is almost always a copyvio. .     Jim . . . .
