Information template[edit]

I notice a lot of technical problems with "Information" templates in newly-uploaded images -- there should probably be a better system. AnonMoos 01:05, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed... as I said, I struggled for an hour with that image of Mut and finally decided that some kind wikipedia person might help. Thanks again. 83d40m 14:42, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
They're trying to avoid some of those problems with a proposed new upload form at MediaWiki_talk:UploadForm.js#Input_text_sanitation... AnonMoos 14:58, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lion cup[edit]

Just click on the "Edit this page" link (exactly where it is found will depend on the particular visual "skin" that you use), and edit the image description page much like a Wikipedia article page... AnonMoos 11:15, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lions in art[edit]

I also was confounded while trying to transfer an image from one topic to another. I discovered

on a page and wanted to place it into the Lions in art media category, but found no way to get it to display in the new category. Have saved it to my own computer as a reference instead, but would like to know how to include it under the second category also. Do you have any quick advice that will help me learn how to do that? I promise I will not become a pest! 83d40m 15:21, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I will try again. 83d40m 03:03, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:10 luxor museum - Mut - dated 19 dynasty c 1279 to 1213 BC.JPG[edit]

Hello. You uploaded this image on wikimedia, but the link you put there is something wrong with the link you put in source - there is no such an image on this page :-| Sidriel.13

Thanks, the site is correct, but it should have been http://www.egyptarchive.co.uk/html/luxor_museum/luxor_museum_frame.html for the correct page with that image of Mut. I have just corrected the link on the image page, thanks for pointing that out 83d40m 14:50, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2018 is open![edit]

Dear 83d40m,

You are receiving this message because we noticed that you voted in R1 of the 2018 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in the second round. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2018) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked.

In the final (and current) round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2018.

Round 2 will end 17 March 2019, 23:59:59.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee 18:03, 16 March 2019 (UTC)
