Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Фото жабы очень понравилось, "принцесса" :). Из Ваших номинаций Валаамский монастырь имеет дефекты: tilt = наклон вправо (по часовой стрелке) и большие шумы = noised. Церковь Иоанна Предтечи - искажение (сходимость вверх) = distortion. Всё это нужно исправить в фотошопе для получения качественного изображения. Я сразу указал Вам английские термины, типичные при обсуждении таких недостатков. Будут вопросы - спрашивайте.

Перенёс разговор сюда, поскольку не уверен, что Вы его прочитали.

Спасибо за комментарии. Однако возникло несколько вопросов.

1. По поводу того, что к фотографии "Валаамский монастырь" возникнут претензии шумового характера, я не сомневался. В принципе, и не рассчитывал на номинацию, так как избавить её от шумов будет, на мой взгляд, весьма проблематичным. Однако "tilt"? Лично я не вижу больших проблем с наклоном общей картинки. Неужели это настолько заметно?

На глаз видно наклон начиная с 0.2 градуса. В некоторых случаях это может быть художественный приём, однако в данном - явный недочёт.

2. По поводу "Храма Иоанна Предтечи". Некто Berthold Werner сообщил о необходимости коррекции перспективы. В каком плане? Вы сказали, что она имеет сводимость вверх. Что ж, это не такая большая проблема. Однако не требуется ли от меня ещё и выправить её по горизонтали? Надеюсь, что нет, но кто его знает :)

Бертольд Вернер - хороший фотограф, и я с ним согласен. Это исправляется Фотошопом начиная с версии CS3 или другим софтом. В данном случае надо только вертикальную перспективу исправить.

3. При замене файла (например, отредактировал я изображение, и хочу его обновить на Коммонсах) от меня лишь требуется залить его на Википедию с тем же самым названием файла? Если да, то комментарий о сделанных изменениях (crop, perspective correction и т.д.) указывать в какой графе формы?

! залить его не на Википедию, а сюда же. Открываете страничку файла. Вверху картинка, ниже описание в табличке. Еще ниже - вторая табличка "История файла": в первой ячейке уменьшенное изображение, рядом описание даты и времени изменений. И под этой второй табличкой линк "Загрузить новую версию этого файла". Там по шагам всё просто.

Интересно было бы услышать Ваше мнение о Genoese stronghold ruins Theodosia.JPG.

Освещение не самое лучшее - большая часть в тени. Тень немножко с шумами. И тоже есть сходимость, но здесь её можно рассматривать как художественный приём.

И, да. В ближайшее время загружу ещё несколько фотографий. Интересно было бы услышать Ваше мнение по их поводу. Скампецкий (talk) 14:45, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Георгий — приверженец поправки в фотошопе, но вы, пожалуйста, имейте в виду, что такие исправления — это всегда пересчёт, экстраполяция, то есть подмена пикселя с матрицы фотокамеры на расчётный пиксель. Особенно при исправлении вертикальной перспективы. Вместо фотографии получается расчётный рисунок, выдумка, искажение. Избавиться от шумов несложно, с этим справляются программы типа NeatImage. Почитайте о трюках: при повышении резкости полезно делать это повышение на отдельном слое, а потом дублировать такой слой и наложить светлые тона одним способом, тёмные другим способом. А башню в Феодосии легко снять с соседней башни.--PereslavlFoto (talk) 17:10, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Про Валаам. Там возникает двойной эффект: камера смотрит на колокольню слева, поэтому крошечный наклон вправо (по часовой) оказывается подчёркнутым и потому бросается в глаза. Даже нет, не бросается, а ощущается зрителем. Здание валится направо. Если уменьшить и смотреть издаля, это не особенно видно, а если смотреть в натуральном масштабе, тогда виднее. Я в таких случаях включаю serial съёмку и делаю 4—5 кадров с разным наклоном, один получится хорошим. А впрочем, и это не всегда спасает.--PereslavlFoto (talk) 17:14, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Афанасий Никитин тоже валится. Судя по фокусному расстоянию и марке камеры, вам будет лучше отойти от статуи подальше и снимать издалека с другим зумом, чтобы не слишком задирать камеру и не отклонять её от вертикального положения. А вот астрофитум имеет смысл выставить на QI, хотя, кабы я это снимал, я бы сделал его ярче и гораааздо дальше от фона.--PereslavlFoto (talk) 17:18, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Better, but there is a barrel distortion that I didn't noticed before (sorry for that) . 8 липня 2015 року вийшов закон №122-ЗРК/2015 «Про внесення змін до Закону Республіки Крим ”Про об'єкти культурного спадку в Республіці Крим”», яким об'єкти культурної спадщини Криму було визнано такими, що підлягають державній охороні Російської Федерації. Спираючись на це, НП «Вікімедіа РУ» та спільнота російських учасників вікіпроектів цього року проводить щорічний фотоконкурс «Вікі любить пам'ятки» в Росії уже із Кримом у своїх конкурсних списках. Просимо висловитися щодо того, якою, на Вашу думку, має бути українська частина. Також Ви можете висловити Ваші ідеї щодо поліпшення конкурсу.Опитування за лінком / Survey is here.
