Hello,

About this speedy deletion request, if you go to the discussion at Commons:Village pump/Archive/2020/11#Jacques Forestier photos on Commons., you can see that the reason why this photo was deleted from its source is not a question of copyright, but it is because that source website had mistakenly placed this image on the bio page of another person. The two bio webpages are neighbours in the numerotation system of the webpages of that website, and that almost certainly explains the mistake. Members of the family of the other person notified Commons about that mistake, and they very likely also notified the source website, which would explain why the photo was removed from that page. We on Commons have made our research to identify the actual subject of the photo and we also found and consulted an archived copy of the original source publication, which published the photo without mention of the photographer, as you can see in the link in the discussion, and we also made a research for other sources and found no indication of the photographer. Apparently, the source website still has not figured out the identity of the subject as we did. In any case, this is certainly not a case for a speedy deletion request. If you think that there is a problem, it would be better in a discussion in a normal deletion request. -- Asclepias (talk) 01:56, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
