Color schemes[edit]

Could you not change the color schemes on existing files? There are two color schemes on Wikipedia - one for presidential maps and one for everything else. Please also use the "everything else" one for any maps you create. Here it is:

2020 Iowa and Texas Senate map requests[edit]

Hi SpeedMcCool! I saw the work you did on the Georgia and Minnesota Senate race maps for this year’s election, and I was wondering if you could create maps for this year’s races in Iowa and Texas. Domestic Trips Made by Donald Trump in 2020-21 update[edit]

Hi SpeedMcCool! I wanted to ask if you could complete the domestic trips map you created for Donald Trump in 2020 now that his presidency has officially concluded? Since the last update, Trump has made one visit to Nebraska; two visits to Maine and Tennessee; three visits to New Hampshire; four visits to California, Iowa, Minnesota and New York; five visits to Ohio and Texas; six visits to Maryland; and seven or more visits to Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin. Domestic trips made by Joe Biden in 2021 Map Request[edit]

Hi SpeedMcCool! I wanted to thank you for completing the map for Trump’s final year in office. Would you be willing to create a map for the domestic trips made by Joe Biden this year? 2020 Tennessee Senate election map[edit]

Hi SpeedMcCool! Thank you for making the Biden trip map. I wanted to ask if you could make a couple of corrections to the 2020 Tennessee Senate election map. Carter County, in East Tennessee, is shaded for a Republican win of 70%-80%, but the Republican Bill Hagerty won the county with 80.02% of the vote. Also, Stewart County, in Middle Tennessee, is shaded for a Republican win of 60%-70% although Hagerty actually carried the county with 79.07% of the vote. 2020 Presidential Election by Congressional District map[edit]

Hi SpeedMcCool! Thanks for making those fixes on the Tennessee Senate map. I was wondering if you could make a correction on this map of the 2020 presidential election by congressional district. Virginia’s 1st congressional district (located in the northeastern region of the state) is shaded the right color, although it appears to be distorted and out of focus compared to the other districts on the map. Question re:1972 Delaware Senate map[edit]

SpeedMcCool, if I may call you that since I don't know what else to call you, nice work on finding the 1970s Delaware House districts and compiling onto this map. My question: In what's published online with the descriptions of each district (to which you linked in that map's description), I think something was mangled on their end since it appears to complete its description of the 1st district, start in the middle of another district's description, then go onto the 15th district. I only found one other bill from the 1970s describing minor changes/corrections ([3]) but nothing with a full description. I did see on UDel's website the daily journals from the General Assembly, but I didn't find anything readily available with the original scans of the laws. Just curious if you used anything else to figure out the boundaries for the districts between 2 and 14 inclusive.

I'm using the districts on an off-wiki historical election website to map the Delaware districts from this era.

That digital record appears to cut out numerous pages of Volume 58 of the Laws of Delaware. Here's a link to a full PDF scan of the laws, with the relevant chapter beginning at page 799. The scan does seem to include all the relevant documentation: Laws of the State of Delaware - Volume 58 - Part 1 - Laws of Delaware - The Delaware Collections (oclc.org)
I might still have the shapefile I built for the Biden map, if you're interested.

Question on File:US Speed Limits.svg[edit]

I like the updated map you made of the maximum speed limits in each county (Minnesota version) which made me think of a question. How did you add the Minnesota counties onto the existing map? I was considering adding the speed limits for the counties of at least eight states (OR, NV, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD, WI, and MI in particular). TillmanJosh (talk) 01:13, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I updated the outlines on the original map using the standard county map seen lots of places on Wikimedia. I believe I specifically used this one.
If you'd like help replacing the states with their county maps, let me know. I'd be happy to work with you.

The only thing I really need help with at the moment is what colors should I use for counties that only have their highest speed limits at 45, 50, and 55 MPH. But thanks for replying and I'll let you know if I need further help.
