I am the grandson of Friedrich Kellner and the translator of the Friedrich Kellner diary. My grandfather risked his life to record the misdeeds of the Nazis during WWII. His diary is an important document in our own struggle with the resurgence of terrorism. The Canadian documentary about Friedrich Kellner, "My Opposition: the Diaries of Friedrich Kellner" will have its American premiere at the George Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas. The first public showing of the diary was at this Presidential Library in the spring of 2005 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of VE-Day, Victory in Europe, which occurred on May 8, 1945.
