Hi there. I am here to work on the project called Wikipedia Summer of Monuments. Summer of Monuments is a campaign to upload photographs of historic places and to build connections with people and groups that are interested in history.

Wikimedia DC received a grant from the Foundation for someone to coordinate this project, and then chose me to do it. Because I have funding to work on Summer of Monuments I will be careful about the ethics of my edits. Wikimedia DC supplied me with this statement, which I do indeed agree with:

I have created this official account to reach out to the Wikimedia community, but my duties do not include direct edits to Wikipedia articles. As such, I agree to abide by the Wikimedia Foundation Terms of Use regarding paid editing and relevant Wikipedia community policies regarding paid contributions and conflicts of interest. I take this policy very seriously and am focused with this project on soliciting photo uploads and other donations of material to Wikimedia Commons. I am committed to upholding the values of free culture project, both according to the letter and the spirit of the law. Seriously please do let me know if you consider any of my actions to be out of line. Thanks.
