Hi - thanks for providing images to the commons! I just noticed Image:Sanignacio010.jpg you uploaded... there seems to be a small mistake with the license: I don't speak spanish, but the quote there seems to be indicated the the image is for "public use", i.e. in the public domain. This is not the same as GFDL; please note that only the creator of an image can place it under a specific license like the GFDL or a CC-license. I have changed the tag to {{CopyrightedFreeUse}} for now. If attribution of the source is required, please change this to {{Attribution}}.

For work released into the public domain by a government, use the tag {{PD}}, and make it clear why the image is PD. For work released into the public domain or without restriction by the quthor, please use {{PD-user|username}} or {{CopyrightedFreeUse}}, respectively. If all works by the argentinian government, or that agency, are PD, it may be worth creating a separate tag for this, like we have for the US ({{PD-USGov}} and Brazil {{Template:AgenciaBrasil}}. Have a look at Commons:Copyright tags for more info.

Please use {{GFDL-self}} instead of plain {{GFDL}} for your own images.

Please add your images to appropriative pages and/or categories where other users could easily find them. For example to Category:Printers.

Please use more understandable file names in future.

Hm, I don't think that sentence is good enough. The author doesn't actually say the photo is public domain, and in particular doesn't say that people are allowed to modify the photo. I went ahead and listed it at Commons:Deletion requests#Image:Madryn.jpg. User:dbenbenn 01:51, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

Hola Leandro, disculpa la tardanza en contestar. Realmente, como te dicen arriba, que el autor haya puesto royalty-free y después especificado que la puedes usar en tus diseños (no designios), significaría más una licencia fair use que dominio público, puesto que da a entender un uso personal, pero no público para comercializarla, modificarla o subirla a un sitio como este donde cualquiera la podría utilizar en muy diversas formas. Si tienes interés en esa imagen te recomiendo que envíes un e-mail al fotógrafo con una de las cartas modelo en inglés de esta página donde le solicites que la ceda bajo la GFDL. Si te da el permiso, simplemente pegas el e-mail con su respuesta en la página de discusión de la imagen, de esa forma sí estaremos seguros de que es libre. Un saludo. Hi Loco, I saw you posted a message to User talk:Essjay and removed it after Sanbec restored this image. I just wanted to let you know why this image was deleted. User:Honour for some reason changed your license tag to this false 'no license' tag. User:Essjay was deleting a large backlog of aroun 1000 files. So it is certainly nothing personal and nothing to do with the content of the picture. It is very hard for us to manage such a large backlog and so sometimes definitely we will make mistakes, sorry it has happened to you again. La regla general de Commons es que no puede aparecer dentro de las fotos ningún material que tenga copyright, ahora bien, si por ejemplo vos estás con unos amigos, se sacan una foto y detrás de ustedes aparece un puesto de revistas dónde se distingue de lejos algún diario o alguna publicación entonces el tema es mas difuso, una foto de esas características tal vez debería ir a Solicitud de borrado dónde cualquier persona puede dar los motivos a favor y en contra para que luego los administradores estudien los argumentos y decidan que hacer. Igual te aclaro que yo no borro las fotos, no soy administrador, yo solamente le pongo los tags (marcas/avisos) cuando encuentro alguna que me parece clara violación al copyright, después algún administrador revisa los tags y borra de acuerdo crea conveniente.
Acá hay una explicación (demasiado breve para mi gusto) sobre Obras derivadas (o derivative works), lo que significa que si vos le sacás una foto a algún material con copyright entonces el autor original tiene los derechos que le corresponden sobre tu foto justamente por haber sido el creador de la obra. Estoy 99% seguro que los diarios y revistas encuadran con esto pero si tenés alguna duda podes dejarla en la página de discusión de 'Nacion-clarin-arg.JPG'.

Acerca de Image:Canofcoke.jpg y otras[edit]

De mas está decirte que para mi las 3 fotos de cocacola deben ser marcadas, acá hay justamente un debate sobre el tema de latas y envases de productos; cuando me enviaste las imágenes estuve a punto de taguearlas pero voy a esperar que la discusión termine a ver a que conclusión llegan, el último mensaje del 20 de Julio cierra con "As far as if this sort of content should be on commons, I would have to strongly suggest that it be deleted on the same grounds as other logos have been deleted.".

Hay miles de fotos dando vueltas por acá que van en contra de los preceptos de Commons, yo no me dedico a buscar imágenes para marcar, simplemente las marco cuando de casualidad encuentro alguna que me parece viola abiertamente el copyright. En general la gente no se preocupa mucho por entender el proyecto pero la única forma de que Commons sea realmente útil es teniendo material 100% libre de derechos de autor. MisionesGov[edit]

Hola Leandro, el permiso de esta plantilla: Template talk:PD-MisionesGov no es válido, el hecho de que la respuesta diga que las imágenes son de uso público no significa que estén en dominio público y sean libres para modificar, redistribuir o usar comercialmente. La página http://www.misiones.gov.ar/turismo/principal.asp tiene copyright, por lo que se entiende que sus contenidos están protegidos. Tendrás que solicitar una nueva autorización en la que se especifique claramente bajo qué licencia están las imágenes. Un saludo. Anna 00:30, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
