What causes pimples?

Pimples, filled with oil and sebum, tend to stretch pores in the deepest layers of the skin. Weeks or sometimes even days after the pimples has disappeared, the enlarged pore can fill up with oil and sebum again, creating another blemish in the same place. To stop this cycle, dermatologists urge a consistent acne acid-base acne wash which helps pores to drain.

A dermatologist can inject the blemish with a steroid, which fights inflammation, or give you a prescription for a topical cream or for oral antibiotics.

A dermatologist says that most people believe that blackheads are caused by dirt. According to them they are really pores plugged up with oils and dead skin. To banish them, use a salicylic-based cleanser rightly to clean them.

Don't squeeze your pimples, no matter what happens. Squeezing can only tend to cause infections. To beat pimples, apply a warm wet washcloth to the affected area for a few minutes three times a day. Follow with a spot-treatment of salicylic acid says a dermatologist.

Furthermore according to them junk foods don't bring major breakouts contrary to what most people think. It's sebum, the only greasy stuff that causes zits. Try using a deep-cleansing acne mask weekly to avoid zits.
