Categorization[edit]

Category:Stereograms has been moved to Category:Computer-generated stereo images and this template should be adjusted to account for the move. Thanks. - Themightyquill (talk) 13:24, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Stereoscopic device" for cross-eye?[edit]

This template says that a stereoscopic device can be used for cross-eye stereo photos. Is this true? I've never seen or heard of a device that could handle cross-eye, only parallel. I'm going to remove that wording from that section of the template unless somebody objects.—Chowbok (talk) 19:33, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch, helps save on verbiage at least. I don't have an extensive knowledge of devices, so I used duplicate descriptions with both, assuming they both likely had devices. Has anyone ever cataloged 3D viewers as some have done with 3D cameras? Interesting if a cross-view device is indeed discovered and justifies re-adding the text! djr13 (talk) 23:08, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

New method-impure value request: stereopair[edit]

I use a Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3 camera, and noticed that current 3D image storage methods make picture useless for 2D viewing, and attach to articles. Since i have no devices for 3D viewing, i save left and right images from MPO file to two-page TIF file. It seen in articles like normal 2D image, and allow to extract stereopair for any viewing method in futhure.
