Are pictures of anything made by US Government PD?[edit]

The language in this template, when applied as at File:NATOMedalFormerYugo.jpg, seems to say that when you take a picture of anything produced by the US, it is public domain. Does that include buildings, aircraft, manuals, etc.? Why/why not, or has this been misapplied in the case of that ribbon? —[AlanM1(talk)]— 08:51, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
