Revert or properly support prior edit on 1989 copyright issues[edit]
On 30 May 2010, User:Nard_the_Bard made this this addition "Note This only applies to images published before March 1, 1989." at the close of the Commons:Deletion requests/Template:PD-US-patent-no_notice This edit is not supported by the cited USPTO reference nor was it the consensus opinion of the deletion discussion. I would like to request that this edit either be reverted or properly supported. The issues associated with this edit are currently being discussed at Commons:Village_pump/Copyright#Do_US_patents_have_copyright_protection.3F--Nowa (talk) 16:17, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

{{Edit request}} There's a missing space between "copyrighted" and "See". The first link (http://www.uspto.gov/main/ccpubguide.htm, as [1]) is dead, and probably should be removed.
