Tibet[edit]

All images with location "Tibetexpedition" should probably go into Category:Deutsche Tibet-Expedition Ernst Schäfer (currently 853 images), Special:Search/Tibetexpedition renders 1788 images, i.e. about 900 are missing from the category, there are e.g. 1, 2.

We can either use the location to categorize them directly or create a temporary category (Category:Tibetexpedition) to add them by bot once the images are identified. For this second solution, please add the following to this template:

{{#ifeq:{{{location|}}}|Tibetexpedition|[[Category:Tibetexpedition]]}}

Thanks. -- User:Docu at 00:29, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds too complicated. Maybe someone else wants to do that. -- User:Docu at 08:49, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tibet (2)[edit]

{{Editprotected}} In the light of the discussion at Commons:Village_pump#Bundesarchiv_categories, I think it's preferable to categorize this set of images directly through:

{{#ifeq:{{{location|}}}|Tibetexpedition|[[Category:Deutsche Tibet-Expedition Ernst Schäfer]]}}

If an image shouldn't be in that category, it would end up on Commons:Bundesarchiv/Error reports‎ anyways. -- User:Docu at 08:28, 18 July 2009 (UTC), edited 08:44, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Templates should *never* add images to topic categories. Multichill (talk) 10:19, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OWI[edit]

{{Editprotected}}

Some photographs are taken by employees of the Office of War Information (OWI), e.g. File:Bundesarchiv Bild 146-1971-053-59, Mannheim, US-Truppen im Straßenkampf.jpg, where it was taken by Richard Boyer of the OWI (London branch) and should be {{PD-USGov-FSA}}.

Can someone change the code to allow for PD-USGov-FSA if the PD parameter is OWI, or better still, allow the template to use any PD tag that is inserted into the PD parameter? Jappalang (talk) 10:24, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

✓ Done I added PD=OWI. From a search I see 6 files for that. --Martin H. (talk) 15:19, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
