Simplify[edit]

{{Artwork}} is customizable so {{Federal Art Project-info}} is not necessary. I think {{AAA-image/sandbox}} does the job the {{AAA-image}} is supposed to do. It is much simpler, which allows to easily get rid of the works of the current template (non working "ID" and collection parameters). --Zolo (talk) 10:12, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, thank you! :) Your version of AAA-image does just what we need with "other_fields_1". Cheers. Aude (talk) 01:03, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Actually, since "digital ID" and -as I understand it- "collection" are identifiers for the work within the AAA collections, I think it would make sense to have them located near the institution template, the way we usually have the location and accession number fields, rather than near "photographer". You just need to replace " "other_fields_1" with "other_fields_3" . It would also keep some kind of unity in layout across Commons.--Zolo (talk) 07:32, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done. Actually, "other fields 3 is below "notes", not below "accession number", I think it is not as good, but still okay. I have also provided internationalization at {{AAA-image/I18n}}.--Zolo (talk) 08:41, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have nominated Template:Federal Art Project-info for speedy deleted. We dont need it anymore.--Zolo (talk) 09:29, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

American archives in China[edit]

Clicking on the location sends me to a map of a remote area of Sinkiang, China rather than to a city. Is this an error in the template? Jim.henderson (talk) 01:03, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it was a type in Institution:Archives of American Art, thanks for notifying.--Zolo (talk) 08:13, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Glad it worked out. I remain displeased when the GeoGroupTemplate for a New York or Philadelphia category shows roundels in Washington, but showing them on the other side of the world was ridiculous.
