Usage

It displays the Type genus of a family-group taxon (e.g. a family).

For Type species, use {{Tysp}}.

If it's used on a category, it links to a category, otherwise to a gallery.

Syntax

{{Typegenus|Genus|Author}}

Examples

{{Typegenus|Adonis|L. (1753)}}

{{Typegenus|Adonis|L. (1753)|source=Tropicos|accessdate=2012-03-10}}

will be displayed

Type genus Adonis L. (1753)

Type genus Adonis L. (1753) (for Tropicos,  10 March 2012)

On a category page it will look like:

Type genus Adonis L. (1753)

Type genus Adonis L. (1753) (for Tropicos,  10 March 2012)

Optional parameters

• Use |source=<WebSiteShortName> to display the source of this genus list. See Taxasource/doc for the complete list of managed WebSiteShortName
  • Use |source2=<WebSiteShortName2> to provide additional sources (DEPRECATED: <WebSiteShortName> can contain multiple sources separated by &)
  • Use |ref=<reference> if your source is not managed by {{Taxasource}}
• Use |accessdate=<yyyy-mm-dd> to provide the date of the retrieval of the data
• Use |link=Other genus name To change the destination of the link (To be used to hide the disambiguation)
