A female Goldenrod Crab Spider (Misumena vatia) capturing a bee (cf. Andrena sp.). Spiders usually inject the poison at the back of the victim's head, where the nerves concentrate. Notice the perfect colour mimicry between the spider and the flower, a Yellow Chamomile (Anthemis tinctoria).

Thespis, the first, now lost, collaboration between W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan premièred on December 26, 1871. A Christmas entertainment, it was not expected to last, but due to the enduring popularity of their later collaborations, such as H.M.S. Pinafore and The Pirates of Penzance, reconstructions of Thespis have become increasingly popular since the late 20th century.
