This is a helper template for {{Information}} and similar templates.

Purpose

This template allows the entry of multiple sources into source/author/date/permission/description lines

Syntax

Basic syntax

{{ Infosplit | file info | original media info | subject of media info }}

These are three anonymous parameters

• first parameter — enter information pertaining to the file uploaded to Wikipedia here
• second parameter — enter information pertaining to the media the file is a copy of here
• third parameter — enter information pertaining to the subject represented in the media here

Original work	Sculpture photobook created by author ABC
Subject work of original work	Sculptures created by sculptor MNO

Extended syntax

| thismedia = change name of This_media field | file info
| original = change name of Original_work field | original media info
| subject = change name of Subject_work field | subject of media info
 }}

There are three named parameters for extended definition

• thismedia – change the name of the This media field.
• original – change the name of the Original work field.
• subject – change the name of the Subject work field.
