Example

For example, the determinant of

$A={\begin{bmatrix}-2&2&3\\-1&1&3\\2&0&-1\end{bmatrix}}$

is calculated using this rule:

${\begin{array}{rcl}\det(A)&=&[(-2)\cdot 1\cdot (-1)]+(2\cdot 3\cdot 2)+[3\cdot (-1)\cdot 0]\\&&-\,(2\cdot 1\cdot 3)-[0\cdot 3\cdot (-2)]-[(-1)\cdot (-1)\cdot 2]\\&=&2+12+0-6-0-2\\&=&6.\\\end{array}}$

And {{Determinant3|-2|2|3|-1|1|3|2|0|-1}} gives 6
