The WMC entry Template:Helleborus lividus is linked to Template:Helleborus argutifolius but "h.lividus" is meanwhile an own species - previously subdivided into two subspecies. How to clear this problem - remove the link in WMC--Nalagtus (talk) 23:44, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Helleborus argutifolius is the synonym of the Helleborus lividus. They are one species. DenesFeri (talk) 09:19, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately this is not completely clear - see classification after Mathew (1989) - which is widely used - https://scholar.google.com/scholar_url?url=https://www.jstor.org/stable/pdf/1224717.pdf&hl=en&sa=T&oi=ucasa&ct=usl&ei=hIAvXJOjGYWGmgGA55b4DA&scisig=AAGBfm030mq95JymiLGaqrHodm8E243Esg (page 3 top), wikipedia articles distinguishes both plants - WMC should provide same information. --Nalagtus (talk) 16:06, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I useally follow the Plants of the World Online [1]. DenesFeri (talk) 10:29, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In this particular case this site is in my opinion UNUSABLE since it is to old. But also in general I can find only few helpful information there which have not to be extra doublechecked. Herbars from 1867 are nice and important - but not state of the art. I think the believe in that kind of 'non actual' "Kew-authority" contributes a lot to the confusion on accepted plant species in general.--Nalagtus (talk) 09:30, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I disagree, but I'm not in the mood, nor have time to argue. DenesFeri (talk) 09:45, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
