This bird is NOT an Inca Dove. It is a Common Ground-Dove. The identification is not a difficult one to make. --djringer 68.94.202.46 15:48, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hard to tell! It certainly looks like an Inca, but it's a bad picture. I have one that fell out of a nest and I hand raised it. It has bonded/imprinted heavily to me and I am not sure how well she would fair if released, since her flying is somewhat limited possibly due to damage received from her fall from the nest. A very sweet bird that gets along well with the other diamond doves I bought to keep her company. The diamonds breed like rabbits, but my hopes of the two species mixing is just not happening, despite the best efforts of her male diamond counterparts!
