Page split[edit]
This page has become quite large and has a diverse set of subjects. I'm beginning to think it should be split up. A well-organized see also section at the beginning of the article should keep it easy for people to find what they're looking for. My idea would be to split off the largest section, the Shakyamuni Buddha section, to a separate Gautama Buddha article. We could also move the bodhisattvas section to a bodhisattvas article, and probably Padmasambhava for good measure (there's already a Category:Padmasambhava). The rest could stay on this page for the time being, although we could break it down further in the future. We might also consider a breakdown by type of image (paintings, statues, etc.) - Nat Krause 08:18, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
